I have been wanting to do a redraw of one of my older works for a long time, but I never found the time to do it. However, with Darktober on WA amino, I saw a chance to give Scourge another try. His day will officially be tomorrow, but I am busy tomorrow, so I decided to post this here early. Some of my long time watchers might know what the older art is, but for the ones who don't I'll put a link in here and a thumbnail in the comments so you can see my progress for yourself.

The old one was posted 7 years ago, so it's been quite a while. I distinctly remember trying to have him hold his paw up with his claws out in a similar fashion to what you see in this newer one, but horribly failing at making that kind of pose seem somewhat natural. It would look more as if a random paw was flying around, so eventually I gave up and turned it around, making it seem less awkward but also not nearly as interesting. I'm happy that I could go with the pose I originally wanted to draw all those years ago. It really is very satisfactory to compare these two pieces to one another. Also *cringe* that hair x.x Of course there is more improvement to make, but I am having the feeling that I am really getting somewhere the past year.
