Three summers ago I did series of these shots over two different outings.... milkweed seed-pods backlit by the setting sun had me fascinated with the way they picked up light and looked like little Chinese lanterns.
This is the fourth and final of these...

When I was little, I used to hold milkweed up to the sun for a similar effect, but it never looked nearly as gorgeous as this!

Wow it's so amazingly pretty!!! I saw the word fire on my list and I was like heck yea! expecting a flower to actually be on fire but this is awesome, I love it and I'm going to look at you other ones because amazingly, I haven't seen them yet!
