Description
The Fynrii is a step up from even the heaviest powered armor. Armed with heavy machine guns, autocannon, and precision guided Missiles. Able to withstand heavy autocannon, and all but the most powerful man portable heavy weapons. The lower torso is highly agile and agile over a wide range of terrain, able to traverse soft ground, broken pavement, and debris. It can traverse mud and boggy ground but has difficulty due to its weight and higher ground pressure than tracked vehicles. The Upper torso is capable of rotating 360 degrees and pitch forward and back to quickly respond to threats in a wide arc and focus its weapons away from, or even opposite to its path of travel. the pilot sets inside the armored upper torso surrounded by a heavy armored "bathtub" surrounded by view screens, and multifunction control panels. Behind the cockpit, a pair of compact High efficiency gas turbines provide the operating systems, electronics and weapons. These turbines allow the combat systems to operate independently from the turbines mounted on the legs of the vehicle.
Optic turrets mounted on the upper torso house thermal imagers, low light systems, and active line scanning laser ranging and imaging systems. They also mount laser designators, and other optical systems, passive electronic sensors, and high definition audio pickups. These give the pilot a broadband high definition view of the battlefield. abe to detect vehicles and infantry by heat, electronic emissions, and audio signatures.
The weapons are mounted on independant pods, to either side of the main body. These pods contain the weapons and ammunition for these weapons. The pods are gyro stabilized and will track targets within a narrow arc designated by the pilot using compact thermal and optical sensors. Usually a pair of 35mm autocannons are mounted in one pod, and a six shot missile pod in the other. with a containerized ammo system supplying 250 rounds for each autocannon.
Weight: 20 tons
Crew: pilot
Sensors: thermal, infrared, low light, visual, ultraviolet, passive EM tracking and targeting. active Linse Scanning Laser Imaging, and Ranging.
Power system: gas turbine, Isotope decay batteries
Top Speed: 50KPH
Armor: 120mm RHA equivalent
Weapons:
2x 35mm Autocannons 250 rounds each
4x .50caliber Heavy machine guns, 1000 rounds each
6x Laser guided anti tank missiles
First deployed as a scout and security patrol vehicle this mech became a widespread scouting and urban combat support vehicle, moving rapidly through built up areas, or being air dropped into remote areas to provide infantry with a heavy support, scouting, and surveillance vehicle capable of keeping pace with powered ror equipped infantry, with weapons heavy enough to deal with light vehicles, and other powered armor forces. Stil not as numerous as light armor, and Infantry fighting vehicles the Fynrii is viewed as successful within its limited combat role.

This looks like a sufficiently varied armament... Lacks a little punch against heavier vehicles, though.

Thanks that's what I wanted. I love mecha in all flavors...but I kind of like more well rounded, more practical/industrial designs for my own work.

Yeah, specialization is good in many ways, but I do prefer more rounded design myself!

Thanks. I appreciate it. I can see a lot of things I need to tweak but you know how that goes...
