Description
The Leviathan is both a living creature, and a Starship, They are one of the larger pseudo organic forms, discovered and cataloged. Leviathans travel far and wide through hyperspace. The possible descendants of engineered lifeforms used by a long vanished race.Though typically standoffish and avoiding contact with other species the Leviathan race has been known to communicate, and allow limited inspection/study by Humans in the past.

An elder leviathan has the speed, firepower and armor of a Human built dreadnought type warship but uses a form of energy generation, and fuel extraction unknown to Human sciences.Their thick exoskeleton armor is comprised of carbon crystals, and exotic matter compressed by powerful gravitational fields and shaped by the swarms of organic nano-machines that form the "blood" of the ship.

it can withstand constant abrasion by the dust and gravel of hyperspace, and long term weapons fire by both engineered weapons and Other Xenoforms...most notably Leviathans have been observed engaging, and defeating Krakens in direct fire engagements. this is a notable feat since the primary beam weapon of a Kraken has been known to slice through even bonded super-dense armors with little to no resistance.

From recorded evidence Military analysis has determined and elder Leviathan has the equivalent combat capability of a Plankwell class dreadnought fielded by the Third Imperium fleet.While no data exists on encounters between Leviathan and major combat forces, the occasional encounters with large predators in hyperspace is sufficient to develop the approximate ratings assigned to individual Leviathan.

In addition other individuals seem to have evolved to serve as carriers for immature Xenoform "fighters" and can launch hundreds of these larval forms into combat with devastating effect.these individual leviathan often travel with juveniles, and young adult, leviathan to form task groups sized flotillas. living out their nomadic lives int eh deepest, most hostile regions of hyperspace with little to truly threaten them

This male leviathan travels with sixteen frigate class leviathan adolescents and seems to be drawn to human vessels in distress. on several occasions Dasha Rho Shen had scattered raider groups, and pirate, as well as at least one juvenile( cruiser class) Kraken when he responded to distress calls put out by commercial vessels under attack.

Personality: ( male)non communicative, Engages hostiles and depart without communication. refuses all contact attempts. avoids inspection, or research parties.

An extremely intelligent,social, cooperative specimen Hashahn carries a crew of 1200 mixed race individuals, and often takes on short term passengers when she visits inhabited worlds to gather food, and resources for her crew. Aside from her crew being frequent trading partners, with smaller worlds, and her willingness to assist stranded and endangered lifeforms Hashan has shown a rather limited tendency toward use of force. Her crew when interviewed relates various tells of rescue, and invitations to come aboard during her infrequent stops. But indicate she is not fond of combat, or interference in matters that do not impact her crew.

Most frequently, her very presence has altered the course of potential conflicts, with her skills as a diplomat resolving issues without violence.While she denies that she appears at the scene of possible conflict deliberately, Her "random" appearances are known to have saved several hundred thousands lives, that may have been lost to armed conflict.

Her Crew and passengers report that she is generous, and asks little in return for their passage, other than conversation,and companionship for her crew. She has exceptionally well stocked medical facilities, and a number of workshops and labs for use by her crew.The Numerous bio-drones, and bio-mechanical xenoforms that maintain the structure of Hashahn seem to behave as if they were affectionate companion animals for the crew. With a large number that appear rather whimsical, and "cute" that act as nothing more than pets, and companions for crewmen.

Prolonged study By scout services teams was allowed, up to and including surgical examination f integrated devices within her form. The results of these studies are largely classified but public documentation shows that the leviathans main form is a structure formed by millions of small nano-colonies .Fused to a core that holds the actual guiding intelligence. The internal systems are seamlessly integrated into the form, with access for repair and replacement should they "age" beyond usefulness.

e crew quarters are patterned to be comfortable, and practical for Hominid crew. While non crew spaces are more suited to the multi-limbed, pseudo arthropod crew drones. Power generation, and directed energy weapons seem to be comprised of "grown" crustal structures powered by some unknown form of quantum flux that generates tremendous heat and soft radiation which is gathered by the outer shell of the device and channeled into electrical current, and gravitic impulses.

Foodstuffs, air and water are supplied by cultured nano-colonies, and can not be easily identified as synthetic when served with traditionally grown foodstuffs. The crew indicates that they simply have to find a sample of a plant or animal they wish to add to the menu and within months the system can replicate meat, fruits, nuts, and other types from the samples gathered.In addition the growth centers can produce an impressive surplus which allows for trade with local colonies, for various goods and raw materials.

NOTES: while Hashan is approximately 200K Displacement tons in volume, her weaponry and armor are roughly equivalent to a much smaller vessel. This is due to the fact that alarge portion of her interior space, and resources are devoted to the population/crew.

Notes: all smallcraft, and Xenoform fighters aboard the Hashahn are designed to integrate a humanoid pilot. Who directs the Xenoform by a form of direct neural integration.while Hashahn will not release any examples for study she gently chides researchers with comments that have already have the ability to create such craft if they applied themselves.

A male elder leviathan with an aggressive, easily provoked male personality. Akula frequently responds to any aggression he observes in his area of influence with overwhelming force. He is know to actively hunt Kraken and other predatory forms, and Has repeatedly engaged raiders, criminals, and pirates with extreme prejudice. His primary combat tactic is to use is a battery of powerful suicide drone/missiles which he fires in salvos, as he approaches weapons range and engages with direct gunfire from his main weapon.

CIn addition his drones sometimes seem to create a disruptive force that disable the hyperdrives of targeted vessels blocking any attempt to transit out of hyperspace during battle. also his drones can and will use directed energy weapons, powered by detonation of internal power cores, similar to a bomb pumped weapon..without the need for a massive nuclear detonation.

Akula intervenes without request if he observes aggressive, or predatory behavior, with little regard to the allegiance, or registry of the aggressor forces. He tends to fight to the destruction of the lead aggressor allowing secondary vessels to escape, or depart after the destruction of the lead vessel. He however will relentlessly pursue any vessel he sees as the leader of a hostile force, or instigator of predatory behavior.

Akula is faster than most Leviathan, and features several spines, and "Feelers" which are the source of powerful electromagnetic forces, which can jam, disable, or damage sensors, and power systems when tightly focused.The feelers also act as sensor receptors, and manipulative organs when not used as weapons. He has been observed "devouring" vessels disabled or destroyed in his attacks, and Kraken he has killed. Although surviving crew are often found drifting in something resembling a low berth, formed of a non organic material formed by the Leviathan around the prisoner.

Integration of released prisoners indicate that Akula has a crew of Sentient hominids, which are completely encased in Biomechical exo-suits. these crewmen seem to run a selection process on prisoners. Including intense psionic probes physical examinations, and physical interrogation. At the end of the process, prisoners are either encased and ejected, killed instantly, or forced into the exo-suits to join the crew.

Akula Has a volume roughly 200K D-ton. Like Hashahn His weaponry is far lighter than his volume would allow. However his raw speed, and ability to reproduce large numbers of drones, and fighters may indicate a large portion of his interior space is devoted to producing drones and fighter craft. Or may be taken up by what ever organs/devices he uses to produce the high acceleration and rapid Hyperspace travel he demonstrates.

inmany ways tey are as much individual characters more than ships or monsters/creatures...and intended as very rare enocunters,and background NPCs..I have a story line for them as wll as a history, and an common arc with other engineered hyperspace Xenoforms....but that is still in it's roughest stages.
