I want to be able to create HDR pictures, since I keep finding inspiration from your gallery. I just have to wait until I can download PhotoMatix.

Wait?.. You can download it right now. Don't mind the 'trial version' stuff --> the trial version creates watermarks in certain parts of your image: no problem. Just extend the image area of your original shots enough and do the processing = the watermarks in the final image will be on the empty / extended blank area of the image, then just crop the image to get rid of the blank border crap. Try it. It works!
n.b. That's a tip for everybody else out there too.
