And being exceptionally hot. Although I suppose I could have some circumstances that explain Portia's fascination.
Portia would've been on hand to magically heal Angie's vocal chord atrophy. (A temporary spell that dissipates as the chords strengthen.)
But it's hard to see where that would've made Portia infatuated with Angie.
The other way around, would make more sense.

I suggest having her Admire her for not being scared of Nomoko, since Martinez has seen the true face of the FMP's leader, to Martinez Nomoko isn't the stuff of nightmares, she's a nerd who legit can be made to throw a tantrum because someone left a really scathing review on her self insert Star Trek fanfiction,

I like your suggestion about a nerdy Nomoko. That could come in very handy, for the upcoming chapter.
Regarding Angie not being afraid of Nomoko. I'm on the fence about that. I've always envisioned her as having to fight to keep it together, when the Benefactress is encountered, since that creates a very real possibility of her returning to her life of bound servitude.
On the other hand, having Angie roll her eyes, and dismiss someone who can live in outer space, and melt steel with her eyes, as a "clingy ex", is not without a certain appeal.
This will require some thought.

Consider this, Martinez has a plan for if she's ever taken back, she was actually planning it for when Nomoko came back from the work that she was on when she was rescued, she's gonna hop right towards Nomoko and her bodyguards at full pace and right when Nomoko throws open her arms to receive the much craved warm welcome, Angie will dive at Bearomir, telling him how she missed him how his virile manly charms have made her rethink her stance on men because no women could compete with him for her heart, and while she's doing this she will savor the sound of Nomoko's sobs as her heart breaks, and then she will drive the final nail in giving eargerly to Nomoko's best friend the thing she had all but begged for and call him captain,

I find it surprising that a Lt. Colonel would be buzzing around a mere Corporal (or is she a Specialist now? I'm not sure if I misread lore or if you changed Angela's rank tier)

I think I'm going to have to make a Love Hina style flow chart to keep track of all the infatuations, I've got going.
Regarding Portia's "slumming" with a mere enlisted soldier, and an infantry woman to boot? The heart wants what it wants. However, it is an enigma to Coloenel Pierce, why Angie seems reluctant to jump at the chance to be with a senior officer.
Regarding her smugness. She controls the one thing in all the universe that Nomoko fears: magic! I am even considering having a past event in which Nomoko was on the verge of "recruiting" an entire raiding party, until Portia intervened, and single handedly forced the Benefactress into retreat. Such an event would be a permanent ego power up.
I could see her constantly bringing it up, during her campaign of hitting on Angie.

I think Nomoko still works best as the all-powerful unstoppable enemy force (though easily distracted by cuties) at this point, so perhaps an incident like what you described above with Portia except Nomoko wasn't there?
I think Portia could still get a massive ego trip if the save she made was significant enough.

That just goes to show my lack of knowledge/research on the matter.
I thought that Specialist was a higher enlisted rank than Corporal, primarily because it sounded so much cooler. This in mind, I changed her rank to that of Specialist to suggest that she had received a promotion, since her first appearance in The Raid.
After five minutes of looking into the matter online, I see that both ranks occupy the same E-4 level, but Corporals are on track to become NCO's, where as Specialists are not.
Given Angie's distinguished service, she is definitely on track for promotion, so she should be a Corporal. I'm going to have to go through her appearances and edit the contradiction.

Also Prin should leave her bound and gagged somehow (Carried off or stuffed somewhere) so she doesn't get in the way

Angie is going to be so disappointed when after Prin walks up and punches Portia, she finds out that Prin did it because she hates Portia not because she was jealous of another girl macking on her,

Although Angie would probably be too busy swooning to listen to reason, and chalk up Prin's reality check to either modesty of tsundere-hood.

And then after they leave Portia can pull out a locket with a picture of Prin in it and swoon herself over how she hates how she loves her, then we hear heavy breathing, and Portia punches Nomoko in the face,

Considering that Portia's the only AMAZON who can take Nomoko one on one, it would be interesting to one day see them square off over Martinez.

it ends with them both depressed eating ice cream together and crying when they see Angie was ignoring their epic battle because Prin was just standing there, playing Poker with Nomoko's Dragonslavers,

Nomoko is found of drowning her sorrows in pints of ice cream. She picnics on the outer hull of her flagship, and eats the vacuum hardened pints, like apples. (Even bites through the wrapping.)
Portia could still share the treats by using magic to adapt to deep space, but I doubt she'd wish to be that close to a vessel which uses magic as a fuel source.

Imagine how annoyed the Dragonslavers would be if Nomoko walks into the ship with the most dangerous enemy mage in existence and orders them all to stand down, because on this day she and Nomoko are sisters in their grief,
