Your may either have a super old scanner, or it's just not scanning at its max resolution. I'd definitely recommend looking into your scanner software settings to see if you can boost the DPI.
Your files *have* always seemed oddly low res, in this modern era of "filesize means nothing" images. I'd always assumed it was intentional. But if not... gosh, I'd love to see your work in high resolution from a proper scanner! Your lines are soooo gorgeous.
