Description
The first of my character sketches for the brand new Duel of Fates roleplaying game ( ) ~Caith , *Karete and I are starting soon. It has the same plot as the last one more or less, taking place in an AU DBZ universe where Frieza runs the galaxy and a small rebel alliance is formed, made up of the remaining Saiyans from planet Neo-Vegeta, the rogue band of pirates, the Ginyu Force and, believe it or not, Zarbon.Zarbon is, unknown to most (even top-ranking members of the Rebellion) the mastermind behind the rebellion's actions. In the game, he is a tactical genius and master con-artist (you'd have to be in order to pull one over Frieza). Not saying he doesn't have some glaringly obvious flaws of course. As Jeice once so eloquently put it, 'Zarbon walks around like he's got rubies up his arsehole'. XD
This pic's dedicated to *Karete , who developed Zarbon into something far more than just a secondary villain. She's one of the greatest DBZ ficcers and RPG-ers out there.
We'll be transforming the game into fanfic format and there will be a club dedicated to it soon here on Devi. ^^

I love seeing Zarbon with his hair down and that mask actually suits him quite well.
Hmm, You say Zarbon, who usually acts like a kiss up to Frieza, is actually the mastermind behind a rebellion against him. Brilliant, brilliant, I say. My favorite DBZ character secretly playing the hero-type thing. This is going in my faves.

Cheers! Yeah, all my headcanons of Zarbon come from the original Ocean English dub. Zarbon sounded completely different in that dub compared to later the Funimation dubs and DBZabridged. He just sounded more... cunning and smart, like he had more than one card up his sleeve to play, whereas later VAs just (to my mind) turned him into the butt of a joke. That and I just fell in love with the idea of Zarbon being a spy working against Frieza. I think he'd still make a lot of questionable sacrifices, but he'd excuse his decisions because it's war and war's brutal.

Intriguing, I do like his voice in that dub too, so rugged, and I agree he seemed to be one step ahead of everybody else. Well, until Veggums came along and made me like the prince of the wishing trolls a little less for offing my favorite baddies. Why, Vegeta, why?

I like this sketch! It's the first picture I've ever seen where Zarbon's hair is done although I am confused as to why there is a mask there.
You know, I never used to like Zarbon until DOF.

Thank you! The mask is there to signify his double life as Frieza's right hand man and the head of the Rebellion against the Ice-jin Empire. In short, I got all arty-farty.
I wasn't too fussed on Zarbon either until I started writing the first DOF with ~Karete and ~Caith a few years ago. Karete is just so bloomin' good at writing him.

The old game was played on a different forum. We started out on Livejournal then moved to the Strike a Pose! forum, where the game kind of died due to one very annoying player. XD
Oh yeah, she writes a really excellent Zarbon centric fanfic called Only the Weak. I'd really recommend reading it.

Seriously, this stupid twat completely ruined the original game (having Ginyu and Recoome continually shagging and King Kold raping Cooler, despite the fact that NONE of these characters were her's to roleplay -_- Plus she had no concept of grammar and her OC was the worst Mary Sue I've ever come across XD).
