Another Wolfram x Yuuri from "Kyo Kara Maoh!" Keeping to summer themes. Through this one together, based on one of my favourite CLAMP images (a Yukito/Touya image).Anyways, I wanted to draw this for ~SomniumQuiesco to say thanks for writing her awe-inspiring fanfic, Whispers of the Rye, which you can read here: [link] So good - all KKM fans should read this multi-chapter epic!

In a nutshell, probably because Wolfram is the "prettier" of the two. It really annoys me actually. I don't see either as seme or uke. The seme uke archetype annoys me quite a lot.

Very cute! I always like "contrasting couples"--ie: dark/blond, dark/red, red/blond--you get the idea!

I think Yuuri and Wolfram's contrasting looks reflect their relationship well. I like couples with seemingly contrasting personalities on the outside, but underlying deep rooted similarities on the inside - in other words, Ying/Yang pairings, and their physical looks definitely reflect this. ^^

Also I'm replying to your ff.net comment here, I wouldn't advice printing it unless you want a new ink cartage. I am reformatting and re-editing the whole thing to make an ebook/pdf version for people to download and it is over 1,000 pages single spaced.... 10 font. >.< It should be up in a week or so... so maybe if it's in time you can dl it and take it with you on your trip that way. <3

Haha, I'll bet it would. Did you know that Whisper's is almost as long as Lord of the Rings? That puts things in perspective lol!

Whilst I know next to nothing on KKM, I still enjoy the quality of the pictures you've done for them. My favourite bit I believe would be that interesting blur effect you've managed to get going. I'm not sure why, but it gives a more calm and relaxed feel to it.

I'm glad you like it! I've been looking for a decent softening effect to get that hazy summer's day/nostalgic feel, but the best I can do is use a blur filter.
