Description
More genderbend Tommy Ryan / Fabrizio. This was very roughly based on a scene in Little Orphaned Yuletide's fic, The Edge of Wherever . I really loved this scene - it's a very short oneshot, but I just love the way the author captures these two characters. Here's the excerpt:'So, Fabrizio, what leads you to America?' Tommy asked, mopping up some stew with a piece of freshly baked bread. 'Family?'
Fabrizio shook his head as he finished swallowing a mouthful of food. 'Not family,' he said. He took a long pull on his drink before finishing with a slightly breathless, 'Destiny.'
Tommy laughed for a moment, but the laughter caught in his throat when Fabrizio's earnest expression didn't falter. 'What, you... you can't be serious... Destiny?'
'Before Titanic, me and Jack, we have no money, no job, no plan. We win our tickets in a poker game. Five minutes before she sails. Call it fate, orβor Provvidenza, or destiny, but this ship...' He ran his hand over the tabletop. 'I am supposed to be on this ship.'
;_; I love Fabri. He's so idealistic it hurts.
I've started writing this mystery fic - it takes place before the film (giving myself an excuse to write a theft and murder mystery in Edwardian London
Here's a wee excerpt. Not much good, but I'm having fun with it. ^^
Tommy Ryan may have claimed low estate, but there was a certain style about the rumpled clothing he wore and the dishevelled hair sticking out from beneath his cap; a little too long for the time to be appropriate, but still handsome enough. A ship-builder by trade, and Irish to boot, his hands held notable traces of hard labour and more than a couple of late night brawls. Nevertheless, he did not cut an image of the typical Irish ruffian plying their trade in London town. His clothes were poor and certainly not of Highgate cut, but something in the young man's demeanour caught Lovejoy's interest. There was a quick brightness about the boy; a certain pride and sureness of foot in his step. It was not a cockiness, but a firm, pragmatic confidence.
Eventually I'll get to writing some Tommy/Fabri, but for now I'm just enjoying writing this mystery. ^^

Eeep, thank you so much! And mate, seriously, I would very happily commission you to draw these two haha!
Tommy and Fabrizio play very minor roles in the film, but I just love them. Minor characters always catch my eye more. ^^ And yes, Fabri is Italian (the actor gives him such a cheesy over the top Italian accent, but I can't help but love it haha). Thank you so much mate! I'm so glad you like it

Hahaha, have I given you any time to miss them? I still feel a bit guilty for clogging up my gallery with them (but I can't help it! XD). Thank you so much honey, I'm glad you like them. I think Tobrizio is currently a two member fandom.
