Yes, yes, gender bend!Tommy x Fabrizio. Oh god, I don't even... How do I explain this current project? Bwahahaha! I swear I always come up with the strangest shit when I'm stressed with work and life. XDThe "genderbend" Tommy Ryan here is really part of a mini writing project I'm setting myself. After several chats with English lit students and play-writes, I've been thinking more and more about the way female characters are portrayed in literature and media. One of my major issues is the way in which strong, "feminist" characters are portrayed in media. If I woman is a physically strong character, 9 times out of 10 she has to be pretty damn sexy too in order to balance her more 'masculine' attributes out. This drives me nuts. But more than that is personality issues. There seems to be so many character archetypes for male characters and very few for female. So I guess what I'm trying to do here with this project is focus on personality first and gender latter. So Tommy Ryan here is, yes, female, but with every personality trait (and even wardrobe) that the original character has.
Why Titanic? *cough* I may be...kind of sort of obsessed with the whole Titanic lore. Ever since I watched the black & white 1953 movie when I was wee kid, I was just awestruck by the whole story and read every history book I could get my hands on. And then James Cameron's Titanic came out, I hit puberty and fell head over heels in love with Fabrizio de Rossi hahaha
(no seriously, that was when I was 12 - I'm 26 now and my fucking mates STILL won't let me forget that crush!

I love the Titanic story...I don't know why, but sinking ships in general fascinate me, and Titanic is jusy soooo freaky and romantic and terrifying and sad and GAH I just love drama XD I've spent countless hours reading books and magazines and even browsing through the ship manifest on wiki just because it was there and I swear it just calls to me Idon'tunderstanditeither XD

Ahhh my god mate, I know exactly what you mean! I was completely (and morbidly) fascinated by it when I was a kid. Between the documentaries and the two old black and white Titanic movies, I was completely obsessed with the whole history growing up. Then Cameron's movie came out and that obsession quadrupled.

Oh I know...it started with the movie, because it gave me nightmares. Being trapped down in the ship and it's creeeking and groaning...I HATE things I can't fight, ad a sinking ship is one of those things. All you can do is scramble ad pray o.O After that I was borrowing books from the library, Molly Brown was the coolest lady ever, I read journals even ifthey were fiction ones...

Watched the Titanic movie Thursday in my Math class. Friggibg awesome and romantic. Pity it had such a sad ending. Love the song at the credits man! :3
