A bit of context:

The Twilight Realm is living very troubled times with the Interlopers being more and more active and dangerous for the floating islands and their citizens. During one of those numerous bad events, Yzei unfortunately makes a mistake that leaves him at Kawrok’s (Leader of the Interlopers - Kawrok ) mercy.

Instead of killing the Chancellor, the Leader of the Interlopers decides to experiment on him with a light shard for his own entertainment and to send a message to Midna and her subjects. When Yzei joins the floating islands again and is taken care of, the light shard already did great damages to his body and is killing him slowly, despite the efforts of healers and friends.

One night, while everything seems lost, he receives a special visit of his lover Etheru…

(And do not worry, I love happy endings. ;D Aruyda will be able to find a cure for Yzei, since she’s the only Twili who survived Kawrok’s light shard experiment).
