My deviations are starting to look about the same and I even see a pattern there, but i can't do anything better, yet. My first try on creating planetary rings. I've tried several styles, but these turned out the best. Planet is made from miscellaneous rock textures and again, Oregon lake + some Hungary lake. Nebula created in Apophysis 2.09. About 7 hours of work, cuz of different tries on planet, rings, starfield and mainly because I've tried to hand/mouse paint a cockpit like a first person view. After i finished roughly half of it, I discovered it didn't fit the picture, so I abandoned it, but it's still in the .psd file.

Software used:
Apophysis 2.09 for nebula
Everything else is Photoshop'd.

Oh, I forgot to write the question
How do you make the amazing starfields, nebulas and for example the planet shadow like in this amazing piece T R A N S I E N T ?
Just, that's amazing and I have no idea how to do that

Can i just add one thing? i was just looking at this again and at the rings (well made BTW), but they don't seem to cast a shadow on the planet. it's only a small point, and only found it after looking at the technique u used in them.
Other than that, it's perfect
