The TRANSITION of Winter to Spring...
There is a very very thin layer of ice on the water, while the sky is blue and the sun is shining. It's rather warm for the time of the year.
A mysterious place in the centre of our country (the Netherlands).
Can you see where the trees end and the beginning of their reflections in the water? At first sight the grass looks like a voile of mist.

From the Deviantart main page I clicked on the "category" button somewhere on the top left - there you can choose furthermore "Community Projects" -"Contests" - "2008" and "Equinox Photography contest"

Oops. Just realized that what I thought was mist was the grass. So maybe you didn't have to get up all that early. It's a great photo, whatever time of day it was.

No, it wasn't very early, must have been somewhere between 10.30 and 11.30 a.m.!!!!
It was a magical place. There even was some thin ice on the water!
