Ja, ik hoorde alleen dat Lichtjesnacht tegenwoordig veel minder indrukwekkend is in Delft, iets met minder lichtjes, minder verduistering en meer van dat soort dingen

Yes, that's what comes to my mind when I hear Netherlands Flat country, canals, tulips, windmills, orange colour (because of your football representation), soft drugs and lots more connections with your football teams

You're right! I hate the use of drugs here!!! It's flat, I love a landscapes with hills, our highest "hill" is about 30 meters!!!
But we have a lot of bikes here and it's so easy without these hills!!! That at least is an advantage!
I've got a connection with Poland too: my grandmother (my mothers mom) was Polish! Her parents came to Holland from Sawasa in the mid-west of Poland.
The Germans came there and they left the country for it. I'm the only one in the family with my great-grandmothers green eyes!
Some years ago we were thinking about going to Poland to look for the place where they lived (found the German and Polish names on old maps), but people warned us that it wasn't safe for western tourists to go there yet!
But I'm sure I will go there once!!!
