well, here they be...the six main characters from the manga i'd like to eventuallymaybesomedayperhaps start working on [tentative title: boba]. everything's still in development; the designs of the characters have changed a lot since i first came up with the concept, and they'll probably change some more. >.> the proportions of everyone are not quite right; and i'm unhappy with how max came out in particular. i'll most likely redo him; right now his face looks like a 3-year old toddler's. and scott's not really that scrawny...i'm kind of pissed off at myself; the scale in which i drew this picture was more than twice as big as it appears here. but i'm a retard, and i accidentally saved the damn PSD file after i resized it to be smaller, and so i've lost the large-scale version of this. and that makes weem sad. X(
sorry for the large filesize, all ye with modems, but i wanted to throw everyone on one page so i wouldn't spam anyone's inboxes.
i go read doujinshi now.

my first thoughts were: scott looks emo, arline seems like a flirt, and i think i'll like betty because her hair is my favorite color.
my second thoughts were, Adia stole yuffie's shorts, Jeremy looks like he'll be a barrel of laughs (NOT! very serious looking guy), and max? hmm, i don't know about max... i can't tell, max seems average...
but this is your cast for a manga your trying to start? right on! diverse cast! and the proportions aren't that bad. you're waay better then i am!

I love group shots like this. One nitpick though...Ada, her hips and pelvis need more development. Women's shoulders are at most as wide as their hips. I also always have trouble with the neck and shoulder area.

Ahh, so true...the hip and pelvic area you mentioned has always been a weak point for me...I can never get it completely right! Anything below the torso, I've got to struggle to draw!

Oooh...draw your manga now or I shall umm...do something evil. I dunno yet. I really like this character design page. You can tell a lot about the characters from just their dress and pose. I think that if this were ever made, I'd definitely develop a silly Anime crush on Betty. Jeremy reminds me of a guy I know nicknamed The Rebel (and he's not really that rebellious). Anyway, moving on, your style here is very strong, except, as you mentioned the proportions seem a bit off. Especially on Adia. I'm not visual artist, so I don't know how to correct it, but it is something noticeable. Bubble tea...good name for a manga. I want to see it developed. Draw, now! :+fav+

yeah, that's always been a huge problem for me...when i draw on a huge scale, and can't see the entire figure on my screen, my anatomy tends to go awry!
