When I was little I owned 2 Red Ear Slider Turtles. Most adorable things on the planet. My parents made me sell them when they got to big for the tank

They've hatched up here in Ohio about a month ago. Which I found very odd. I found one of those little buggers upside down struggling to swim with both eyes swollen shut. He's now in the care of a friend, is all healed from his eyes and pneumonia and is doing just fine! Great little shot of this critter. They are strong and feisty little buggers!

ahh its so tiny! god i remember when i ound mine that tiny. they make awesome pets and they live a long time, but i didnt know that they grew so slow. it's cute

Yeah, they are such funny little animals... I raised a bunch of painted turtles once, we caught them just as they were hatching. Kept them for a year before releasing them back in the pond.
