I love this shot. I never tire of good close macros.
If this thing bites you, how much does it hurt? I know that some centipedes are really nasty, but I have never heard of any trouble from the little critters around here (Michigan, USA.)

i have a couple of them in the house, very fast. First I tried to catch them to put them outside.. Impossible! But then I learned that they're useful so I let them in the house, they clean up.

they've go some long legs there, not really something that comes to mind when i think of a centipede

They are voracious... good to have in the house.
The centipedes around here, unfortunately, DO have a pretty irritating bite (along with the stinging ants, black widows, scorpions). (Sonoran desert area).

I love house cens so much. I raise Vietnamese and Giant Desert centipedes I'm a bit of an enthusiast. He is quit cute and I love this photo very nice capture.

All centipedes are venomous, but in the house centipedes and stone centipedes of north america, it's very mild. I wouldn't want to be bitten by a tropical centipede though.
