Description
Step by step (pretty much) how a ring with "lining and flanking rings" looks. I have no idea what this model is called. Anyone?Basically, you make four rings and get paid for one.

it's the way the ring's made.
1 solder a hollow cylinder of whatever metal
2 solder that to a a square of metal
3 solder a smaller ring inside the cylinder
4 solder another plate onto the other side.
instead of casting a solid ring, you make one that's hollow - you mixed the steps up a bit, but it's the same basic formula.

Thank you very much. I am taking some silver smithing classes and I love it. I drool over the mokume and haven't attempted working with it yet. This gives me a little push. The ring is beautiful.

Thank you so much! They can be a bit tricky to figure out but as with everything, once you know how it's done, it's easy!

Ah...thank you! That makes so much sense when seen from this view. I wish the school I went to laid out more complex stuff like this. <3 Keep the skill alive.

Thank you! It's great fun to see it come together. The pair took me about ten hours.
