This got crazier than the Earth boss, and this piece pretty much made me realize that I was going overboard with detail, in a bad way.And so one of this year's resolutions is to keep the details organized @__@

There is a lot of detail, yes. But with flames, I think you have to be detailed. Besides, who said detail was a bad thing? XD

This is very breath taking, but i'll agree with you that it's way too much detail. I started getting lost as to where the face began and ended. But not all the detail is bad, you got some really fantastic designs going! I don't know how you keep up with all of that! Are these all concept art for RPGs?

Yeah, I see what you mean with it being overly detailed. Its gorgeous, but the detail takes away from the overall impact. This really is amazing, though. Don't drive yourself crazy with the details....

O_o He looks great, but I think I can now officially say you're crazy....I love the detail, it really makes him look like fire, but I can't imagine doing all that....fantastic job, as usual!

I gotta wonder how many times you get lost in the lineart while you're coloring. I would zoom out to look at the thing and find I'd colored something entirely different, I just know it.

Wow. There are really no words. Just imagining going through all of that detail gives me a headache...
I might agree with your own comments... haha I mean, it looks fantastic, don't get me wrong, but looking at it more closely, I see the chains that's he's got on him. They would stick out more if they were a contrasting colour. I understand that it makes sense for them to match his colouring due to being a reflective surface as well as probably surface-of-the-sun hot... In any case, it really looks awesome.

I would have to agree with you on this one. The picture and the general execution of it is good, but there is just way too much detail to really tell what it is. Plus all the colors kind of blare into my face because there is so much of it. It makes first glance harsh, but when you look past it, there really is a great peice in there.
Of course, understandibly this is a fire element, and fire needs to look like it's alive. You did a great job of that.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that the focus is in the wrong spot. I would have rather want to put emphasis on the face of the monseter rather than the body...
Once again, nice job (I mean AWSOME job), but I get lost in it.
Maybe you should darken some spots? Or maybe not... really to you.

OMG!!! It's so detailed, the details have details!!! This is magnificent. It captures the true nature of fire. Fire wasn't meant to be pretty and simple, especially if it's a fire elemental boss XD

i don't know wether or not i've said it beofre, but you are the most awesome painter on da. i always love your pictures, often they're cute and often they pack punch. that old butler/general-like figure was your best (in my opinion (and best qua design))
