As beautiful and striking this image is, I am disappointed in that it doesn't reflect to me the concept of an actual Japanese Samurai and perhaps brings it more to the fantasy abstraction that knights have become.
Just a bit more of a step away from the concept of Samurai than I had anticipated. (For one, he doesn't look ethnically Japanese.)
