prices listed are based on an image 7 X 10 inch big, 300 ppi resolution. (2100 X 3000 pixels)
ALL commissions will be private unless other wise discussed. this means i will not upload the image anywhere unless the client ask or agree other wise.
1. How much does a commission usually cost?
Single, full-body character with no background:
- in gel pen, or digital sketch, conceptual stage like these
one of these is about $50 to $70, depending on complexity
- in digital color sketch style: starts at $100 and goes up according to amount of detail
this is a $100 sample: (2100 X3000 pixels)
this is a $200 sample: (2700X3600 pixels)
two characters in this range of details (3600X3600 pixels) would cost about $350:

*extreme highpitched voice* holy shit brah - now i have to think about the hornet who sat on my head in a train while i believed it was a wasp xD... 2 days later i found out it was a hornet after seeing a much smaller wasp xD.

It's a wonder that that hornet stayed so calm, I mean, it sat on my head for 20 Minutes on my way home in the train XD!
Ya know, i was eating a lil fruit snack when I all of a sudden saw that huge thing flying towards me. What do i do? walking away from it to look if it would leave me alone. Then all of a sudden i didn't find it anymore. I already had that feeling that it might got onto me, but then I thought: Which thing would actually land on me? Oh how wrong i was. After getting into the train, i noticed after 10 minutes something crawling on my head. In that moment i knew: Oh sh*t that mofo is on my head, isn't it?
Then I asked someone who was sitting in front of me if there was something on my head. He looked at me, and said: "There is a REALLY huge wasp or Hornet on your head"
What did I do? I just laughed awkwardly and stayed as calm as possible. Then this lil sh*t started to crawl on my forehead. I instantly closed my eyes, and luckily that thing went back on my head. And then it went on the trainwall behind me. And now comes the funny part:
Since I thought this lil f*ck*r has earned a reward for staying calm AF, I decided to grab some paper to get it onto it so i could release it out of the train. But this lil sh*thead flew away. So now I chased about 5 minutes this hornet and was all like "GET BACK HERE YOU LIL F*CKTARD!", until i finally got it to move onto the paper. And guess what, it didn't move at all, it just waited the 3 minutes on this paper until we finally went out of the train. And then it flew away after I put it on the ground. That was the nicest goddamn hornet i've ever met.

Yep, on that moment i was thinking all the time: "Oh please don't dare to sting me you lil sh*t"
But afterwards, I really had to laugh about it xD I mean, who has the luck to have a hornet on the head and it stays calm X'D?

I think the grip (any technical terms?) doesnt look comfortable holding barehanded, unless the wielder wears gloves

Now that is interesting. It's better for penetrating things like chain mail, but it's also still curved, so it's aim is more difficult than say an arming sword.

Well a samurai would be used to it, but it was far from a primary attack direction. Keep in mind that the katana was an evolution from the tachi, which was so heavily curved you could never stab with it.
