You do Loki great justice with this pic....
One thing I've noticed about your pics is that you see black lineart....I think if you make the outlines of the flames a darker purple than the flames themselves (and not just black) it will give a nice touch of realism, while still containing the form of the flame.
But hell, I shouldn't be one to nit-pick, especially because this is on a way higher level of artistic talent than the one I'm on
