The concept was, he is tall and wise.So hes tall, and has a book (wise...hahahah)
2 hour drawing, 2 hour coloring, i had a hard time coming up with a color scheme. i still dont like the colors for the outfit much but i liked the wings.

Oh fooey on you Wen. XD Honestly, this is a lovely character design. I simply adore it! ADORE IT! I love the wings especially. Just the overall design itself is really lovely. I like that book too. 
Man I swear, every time I look at your work I think of my boyfriend's (* vampirehuntercorvain ) art. you do such similar techniques and styles to eachother it's unreal. Only you do more color images. Kenny doesn't do too much of that. But geez...
I'd love to see you both collaborate some time. It'd make things interesting. ^_^

Wise, huh? My first impression was that he was a warrior of some sort. I didn't even notice the book he was carrying. That book makes me want to see him in more scholarly robes for some reason because in my mind, wise and warrior conjur images that are almost mutually exclusive.
This picture is visually impressive, but it gives me mixed reactions.
