many people wonder why i don't draw backgrounds much. well, theres 3 reasons.
1. client did not order it,
2, i am lazy.
3. i am lazy.

Very nice/cool! I like the shiny purple feathers and the *gigantic* sword! It should work more like a mace or something then a sword (apart from the tip) since it's got those nifty nice ornaments along the edges of the blade!

You dont draw backgrounds because you can get away with it, the way you draw characters is so real that the empty gray feels like 3d model space and they actually have weight, and texture and stuff. *Uses Guide of Depth to kill 2 pawns and checkmate!*

Your great colouring of the character compensates the fact it has no BG.
And if you're already genial when you just draw the character, I'm afraid of your BGs. I'll falll in love with them the moment I see them.
