So the final leg of Sofi's journey has been tough - after her visit with the vet, she begrudgingly continued her stretches to keep her from getting stiff. But that's a hard thing to do when you end up in a blizzard! The time she spent huddling with the horses during the hellish storm was a complete nightmare; she was in tremendous pain which only made keeping the pons under control all the more difficult (and she never thought she'd ever miss the boiling weather back in the US, but she did - and then proceeded to scold herself for it). After the storm, the ride to Baykal was a quiet one. No longer did she feel herself entirely motivated to actually finish, even though she knew they were so close. Every last ounce of her strength was gone and she mostly let the horses trudge along at their own pace. By the time they reached the water, she wasn't even excited to see it. This journey had led her to make a very sobering decision... TO BE CONTINUED
