Crypts of the Old World

In the absence of magic the Ruins of the Old World are lifeless, desolate tombs. The mighty machines that once had fed greedily on the Guardian's gifts have ceased with time; their metal bodies crumbling, disfiguring and twisting into frail skeletons plagued with rust. Those few that preserved well have been ravaged by Raiders, taken as prizes, ornaments and family heirlooms, or melted down and made new. To the people of Moren Ezen, much of what remains is of little interes

The journey to Haspar would take a while; several days, maybe even weeks, if sandstorms forced them to temporary breaks. Their route wasn't a very difficult one, especially for those who were used to the desert and its dangers. Jarah could hunt for food and there were several water holes and wells on their way to quench their thirst. However, they needed food for their horses and a few extra items that couldn't be acquired from nature. Aeryn had no saddle for his mare, so why not getting one as well?

One of the smaller villages was only a few hours away and once they reached it, they visited the market. Luckily, they found almost everything they needed. Even saddle bags to carry everything without trouble.

"Ready?", Jarah asked while attaching one of the bags to Attano's saddle. If they managed to keep a good pace, they would be able to make up for the time they had lost at the market.

"Sure. I'm just waiting for you to be ready!", Aeryn replied playfully and ducked behind his mare to hide his smile.
