Alastor wants to know. :c

I'm still working out his backstory.
No, that Kabuto is not dead, nor is it an actual Kabuto. It's a plush toy.

So, here's what I've got so far.

The Kabuto plush he's holding is what he formed from. He was given to a young girl on her 5th birhday along with the toy. The girl didn't find him creepy at all, unlike the people who pretty much forced Alastor into the hands of the girl's parents. So starts a pretty good relationship between the two.
However, all good things usually come to an end.

Eight years later, the girl goes off to start a Pokemon journey. Since then, she has pretty much forgotten about Alastor and the plush toy, keeping them in a closet where they could not escape.

Alastor manages to make it out before she leaves, but it seems the girl's opinion has changed since she was little. The girl now sees him as an ugly nuisance, and beats him away when he begs to go with her.

Later, she's seen revisiting her house to introduce her starter Pokemon [Torchic] to her parents, and Alastor of course gets jealous.

He hides his negative feelings and attempts to introduce himself to the new Pokemon before she reaches the house, but the trainer still harbours the hate for him. She wants to see no more of him, and demands that he leave and never come back.

And that's what he does.

He then wanders around the whole region for a while, looking for somebody else to take him instead of viciously seeking out the girl.

So this is him when he's still stuck in the girl's closet. The door's open just a bit, which is where the light is coming from.

Alastor eventually gets picked up by a fairly new Pokemon trainer [I will probably draw them later], who later happens upon the girl with her Blaziken.
They notice Alastor's visible hostility towards the girl, and lets him battle when the girl challenges them to a Pokemon battle.
His channeled anger lets him win, although had he not been called back, he probably would have killed the Blaziken in a fit of rage.

but Banette is (c) to Nintendo, being a Pokemon.
