Description
Once upon a time when I was teaching drawing for fun (I've never studied art formally, you see), I'd doodle stuff like this so my "students" could copy them and draw their own characters doing whatever.More of these to come.

for some reason the tutorial won't open, it just shows me the thumbnail image. This has been happening a lot. I think it might be a problem with DA

First I would like to point out, that your drawing is amazing, and they sure are helpful.
Second I would like to get a tip or trick, for making the shape of the head . It's been a pain in my a$$ to get them right.
Once again, great work and keep it up.

AHHH! You, my good deviant, have just jumpstarted my manga career. (I'm in that awkward transition from ultra-realism to manga-tastic, hehehe)

No, I'm not kidding. Video games, cartoons, manga, some real-life observations, that's how I learned.

Well, thats not much different than how artists of the past learned. Real-life observation ftw! Ever seen any Van Eyck paintings? They were one of the first to use atmospheric perspective in their paintings, how? Because they observed!

Your art is amazing! I can't believe it's so realistic and awesome. Also, these references are super helpful. Is that how you were able to learn how to draw like you do today? Did you just look at poses, copy/practice them till you remembered how to do it on your own?

Wow, these are awesome. My particular favorite is the girl on the left. She's got the same proportions as one of my characters- thanks for that. Not a lot of artists draw big people. It's hard to find references.
