“This fucking piece of shit.”

You sighed. “I told you that you didn’t have to play Mario Kart with me.”

Levi growled at you as he pathetically fumbled with the controller in his hands. Why did technology even exist? It was a monstrosity against mankind.

“It’s not my fault this wasn’t fucking built for human hands!” he spat. His patience was wearing thin on this ridiculous game.

To say that Levi experienced difficulties with technology wouldn’t do it justice. Every single thing powered by electricity he had no idea how to use. He was too traditional, too hands-on to realise the obscure simplicity of machines.

One time he attempted to make use the microwave, but hadn’t realised that metal didn’t go well with it and ended up setting the kitchen on fire. You should’ve known better than to allow him near it after he set the timer for sixty minutes rather than sixty seconds.

Levi was a professional athlete, so he rarely needed to go on computers. Not that he even knew how to turn one on to begin with.

You, on the other hand, were a game developer that enjoyed playing them as much as you did making them. It was odd how the two of you came to be, considering the idea that you were complete opposites and had little to no interest in the other’s hobbies or professions.

Regardless of your vast differences, Levi knew how much you loved video games and would often try to bond with you by offering to play as well. Each and every time he presented the idea you’d find some reason to stop him – and this was precisely why.

You were unable to turn him away this time. He was very persistent, far more than usual, and you were willing to bet it was because he’d been busy for the past couple of weeks with an upcoming sports event. Once he made up his mind that he wanted to spend time with you, he was willing to sit down and make the sacrifices needed.

The two of you had been competing for the past hour, and not once did he ever beat you in a game – even though you had purposely played poorly to give him an edge.

But he was desperate. He wanted to sit on the couch with you and do something that you liked, and even though he despised every second of the game, he enjoyed every moment next to you.

However, his determination to spend a “relaxing” afternoon with you had been diminished after he slipped over his own banana peel one too many times.

He grunted in disgust and tossed the controller aside without so much as a cuss word, indicating that he was pissed. You paused the game and frowned at him.

“Levi?”

“Don’t talk to me,” he muttered in a bitter undertone. His arms were folded obstinately over his chest as he turned his head away from you. “I don’t even know why you like this stupid shit.” Was he... sulking?

“Aw, you’re so cute when you get all pouty,” you hummed.

“Not. One. More. Word.”

You shifted over to him, pressed your body against his side and buried your face in the crook of his neck as you gave him a half-hearted hug. You could feel as he squirmed beneath your weight. You knew as well as he did that his neck was a weak spot – a sure-fire way to get him into bed was to taunt him with it.

“Levi...” you sang. You slipped your hand up his shirt and lazily ghosted your fingers over the bare skin of his hip.

He furrowed his brows in frustration. Your actions were having a bigger affect on him than he’d care to admit. “Stop, you’re making it difficult to be mad.”

You smirked against his neck and moved your hand from his hip to his crotch, earning a quiet groan from him as he reacted quickly to your motions.

You placed a light kiss on his skin and grinned as he shuddered in reaction. “C’mon, let me cheer you up.”

He scowled. “I wanted to be romantic and do something you liked,” he said. The statement confused you – it just seemed so uncharacteristic for him to say. “But everything you like is shitty.” Ah, there it was.

“I’m doing something I like right now, though,” you protested.

He turned to face you, which gave you the opportunity to kiss him sweetly. “You... like to pleasure me?”

“Mmhm.”

He stayed silent for a solid minute or so. Finally, he decided to answer, “Well shit, why the fuck was I wasting my time with games?”

You laughed lightly as you reached over to turn off the television, seeing as you’d found a new way to spend quality time together.

At least the two of you had one common interest.
