Mina stood alone in the void of darkness and fog. She craned her head all around the area to try and locate some form of life other than her own presence. But there was nothing. Only her, the dog and the white noise that filled the empty space. Suddenly the temperature in the void grew colder and colder. Mina clasped her delicate pink hooves together in order to keep them warm, and she enveloped herself with her Alicorn wings to keep in her body heat. She attempted to use her magic from her horn to try and use a heating spell but it didn't work. Whatever this awful place was it was proving to be literally draining. Finally Mina decided to take a chance and called out to the void, hoping that she would get a response.

"Hello! Who is out there?" Mina called out in question.

However she did not get a reply to her question. The only thing closest to some form of response that Mina got was a "whoosh" from the fog as it began to slowly swirl about her. She now couldn't decide if she was in a dream space or if this was reality. Regardless of what plain of existence she was in the fair Alicorn didn't want to stay here much longer. The darkness, the cold...it was all so unbearable lonely yet at the same time she felt as though she was being stalked. Like some invisible force was lurking in that endless void of shadows with eyes set on her like a wolf hungrily staring at an unsuspecting rabbit. Or, dare she even consider, something far worse than a mere animal. She was about to speak out again to try and get a response...until something spoke out before her.

"Mina..." Called out a smooth, decadent male voice that beat against her ears as it echoed throughout the void.

Mina paused and her heart gave one, loud solid beat before stopping. She moved her head around slowly to try and find the source of the new voice. But she didn't see a face to go with the sound. The fair Alicorn gulped down the fear that was building up and kept her from speaking. Then as her heart began to beat regularly again she replied.

"Wh-Who is there?" Mina called out nervously.

Almost immediately she got a reply.

"The man who's dead heart you have brought to life again." Said the voice, and a large bunch of fog clouds charged forward.

Mina gasped and took two steps backwards to avoid the fog touching her, and the mass of mist then paused just two feet in front of her. She watched the metamorphosis as the stone grey fog slowly molded and began to take on the distinctive shape of a tall pony. Finally the fog hardened, slowly gaining color and a physical visage until they turned from fog to stallion. But it wasn't just any stallion. It was the dark furred unicorn with the blood red horn and mesmerizing ruby eyes, dressed impeccably now as he always did in her dreams.

"Count Dracula." Mina whispered in shocked surprise. But despite the shock she felt it didn't stop her from walking the two steps that she took back. Perhaps she wanted to be closer, or maybe he made her want to get closer.

"Yes, Mina. And I am presenting myself to you here at last, after many days of admiring your divine beauty from afar, to make you mine." Dracula replied, reaching out a dark grey hoof to Mina.

Mina stared down at the offered limb, then looked back up at the owner of the hoof. Her mind was very tempted to accept the hoof of this dark, handsome stallion and vanish into the night with him. To let the shadows of the night swallow her whole and whisk her away. Mina's brain egged her on so much that she felt her hoof slowly reach out to place it against Dracula's. And she very nearly did...until her heart screamed at her rebellious mind. No, exclaimed Mina's heart. You have a husband who loves you dearly, her heart added. As soon as she remembered Harker Mina gave an audible gasp and seemed to snap from her chance. She looked at Dracula once more and looked down at his hoof, then like she did before she took two steps back. Dracula looked at her in shock as the fair Alicorn shook her head in a solemnly.

"I cannot, O dark count. Though you bewitch my mind my heart belongs to my husband Harker. I cannot live with myself knowing that I had betrayed him when he has been nothing but kind to me. And so I say no, I will not turn away from the light to embrace your darkness." Mina spoke.

Dracula's mouth slowly closed shut, having dropped as he listened to the pink mare speak, and he looked at her plainly. For what felt like ten minutes he stood as stiff as stone. At first Mina wondered if something was wrong with him before he finally moved. It was a nod as he closed his eyes in what seemed like a state of contemplation.

"I see. I figured you would say that, Mina. So if I cannot request your love, and gain it willingly..." Dracula trailed off then snapped his eyes open, revealing hypnotic red beams as he gave a mad grin that showed off his teeth. "I will demand your love, and take it by force!"

Before Mina could even think to run she was suddenly encircled by a swirl of fog and was being lifted off the ground. She struggled to use her wings to try and fly away but the fog was too strong. Mina looked around for a way out and found none. However what she did see was Dracula, who's body seemed to meld into the fog, circle around her with his red eyes still glowing and fangs still formed into a grin directed at her.

"For too many eons have I endured lives without love, Mina. And I will not be denied any longer. Even if I must break your heart to claim it, I shall do this. Soon you shall become the princess of darkness and rule the eternal night! Come and join the dark realm by my side! Be free of your human heart and let my will corrupt your pure soul!" Dracula exclaimed in a somewhat mad tone.

Mina didn't know what happened next. All she saw was dark magenta flash before her eyes, and then heard a glass-like shattering. Then came a horrible pain in her torso. If she didn't know any better then Mina would say that her heart just broke....

Surprise! I feel kind of bad for not leaving any story comments on your work lately, since you said you like to read them. So here you go, Drawin! I hope you like this one.

everything about this looks so awesome, from the backrounds to the shadowing to the effect on the eyes, and the smoothness is just so great! Magnificent job!

Really liking how all these effects turned out with the glowing eyes, the purple aura the shattered crystal heart and the darkness all around. It's kinda a big change in tone from the last picture, but I actually really like that because it shows that even when Dracula/Sombra looks friendly/compassionate, you still gotta stay on your toes. I like to imagine that in her dream, Cadence got a little too close to Sombra because she felt it would be save, and he immediately used it to his advantage and tries to pull her all the way into his dark realm (which Celestia van Helsing fortunatelly foils at the last second by cutting the connection to Sombra).
