Description Featuring: Carsten Lepper, Thomas Borchert and Uwe Kröger - german musical actors in the costumes of Fernand Mondego (from The Count of Monte Cristo musical), Phantom of the Opera and Van Helsing (from Dracula musical).

Thomas Borchert (as pegasus) is a famous german musical-actor and singer, that was featuring in the mane roles in 'The Count of Monte Cristo', 'Dracula', 'Jekyll & Hyde', 'Phantom of the Opera' and many other musicals that I love to death only because of him.
Uwe Kröger (as earth pony) is no less famous musical-actor that was featuring in no less amount of musicals, but I know him and like him only because of the musicals 'Dracula' where he played the role of Van Helsing and 'Rudolf' where he played the role of Count Taaffe.
Carsten Lepper (as unicorn) is not that famous musical actor, but I still love him because of his great voice and great acting of Fernand Mondego from 'The Count of Monte Cristo'.
All these three are my kings of musicals! I love them very much and I'm tellin' ya, guys, you need to watch every musical where at least one of these three is featured!

Why did I choose exact THESE costumes? The main idea was to draw these three in the costumes of when I first saw them in each musical:
For the first time I saw Carsten Lepper in 'The count of Monte Cristo' - musical, so that's how I began to love him. With Thomas Borchert it was 'The Phantom of the Opera' and with Uwe Kröger it was the 'Dracula' - musical.

Why ponies? Because I can't draw humans!
And also, I tried to draw them as can be more like they're really look like, but I made some changes, so they'll look cute enough Couldn't resist that.

I'm a Thomas Borchert fan too! I liked his performance in Dracula and Uwe Kroger was EPIC as Van Hesling. Seriously that musical was one of the best I've ever seen (joint first with Jekyll and Hyde, Count of Monte Cristo). And Carsten Lepper makes best Mondego. I don't think I need to say anymore. I LOVE musicals!

It's a coincidence that I'm listening to 'Roseanne' from Dracula by Uwe Kroger (and the song was written for him random fact XD)...I'm obsessed with Jekyll and Hyde as well as Dracula these days.

BTW Frank Wildhorn actually wrote Monte Cristo for Thomas Borchert! (random fact XD)

And I'm wondering though, do you have Queens of Musicals as well? For me it'll be Brandi Burkhardt, Sophie Berner, and Linda Eder. I love both Brandi Burkhardt and Sophie Berner as Mercedes, and Linda Eder as Lucy from Jekyll and Hyde. Brandi Burkhardt had also performed in the role of Emma Carew in Jekyll and Hyde and she was epic!

God, what is wrong with me these days? I talk wayyyyyy too much.

I considered the idea of making Queens of Musicals, but unlike Thomas, Uwe and Carsten those female singers are... Not really my favorite ones and, honestly, I never heard of them that much except for those musicals, when Thomas was performing in Dracula, Monte Cristo, Phantom of the Opera, Jekyll and Hyde.. Uwe was performing in Dracula and Rudolf and Carsten in Monte Cristo and Rebecca.
Don't get me wrong, those female singers are good the way they are, and I think you could draw them far better than me, but I, just in my opinion, liked some different singers for Mercedes, Lucy and Mina (from Dracula).

Yeah...honestly there are soooo many special and unique female singers, and everyone has different favorites. I can't ponify people XD

I'm listening to James Barbour as Dracula now, but I like Thomas Borchert's voice better

I have no favorite for Mina from Dracula yet but I'm leaning towards Kate Shindle.

I'm just wondering though, who are your favorite female singers?

Comparing to Sophie Brener and Brandi Burkhardt I'm sticking with the Russian actress Valeria Lanskaya, who played Mercedes in the Russian Monte Cristo musical, which is slightly different than the Broadway one. She's the only normal Mercedes for me with her voice and the way she acts (Villefort is cool in this musical too).
As for Dracula I love both James Barbour and Thomas Borchert, but since I've seen how James Barbour plays in Phantom of the Opera I can surely say, he's one of the perfect actors ever for Dracula. Thomas Borchert, for me, is still seems more fitting for Monte Cristo or Phantom of the Opera
I also like Lauren Kennedy as Lucy in Dracula, she's cool. There's actually not much actresses I like, since most of them have squeaky annoying voices, so... But they're all good in their own ways, if you put them in correct roles.

I've never heard of Valeria Lanskaya, but Lauren Kennedy is AWESOME as Lucy Westerna. Even though her voice is seriously high and it might go squeaky easily she did an AMAZING job in the 2011 recording. Honestly, I'm only watching Dracula because I like Thomas Borchert's voice best and well, the Graz Lucy just isn't high enough. If I'm hearing correctly, Lucy should be either a high mezzo soprano or a normal soprano. I guess Thomas Borchert sounds better in Monte Cristo - mainly because the musical was written for him, and Wildhorn would take into account his range, tessitura, and other factors.

I totally agree on the squeaky voice thing...seriously Brandi Burkhardt is one of the only soprano actresses/singers that doesn't sound like a mouse on helium on the high notes...no offense though...

I remember you showing me this video of how German is different from Austria-German, and it brought me to the conclusion that he's Austrian...

The joke back then was that Kröger had a really obvious german accent, and the "Austrian Emperor" from the show back then made fun of him because of that I probably should've cleared that up a little better back then ^^ Dang, I should've kept that translation video I did back then.

omgomgomgomg!!!! you are amazing! I love Phantom of The Opera, and I love pretty much every musical displayed here! Phantom is my favorite though, my mom showed me a live recording of it on Netflix and I got back to loving it! I watched a movie of Phantom when I was 6, (don't ask why, it was my dad's idea) and I loved it. but my love for it slowly faded until my mom showed me it again.

God, I love these three actors. I was even lucky enough to see them live on stage at least once:
Thomas Borchert in 'Dance of the Vampires',
Uwe Kröger in 'Rudolf' and 'Rebecca',
Carsten Lepper in 'Rebecca'.
They're all great in their own right, Borchert is a powerful bariton, Kröger a clear tenor, and even though Leppers voice isn't as remarkable, I love the way he's always playing the role of the greasy villain.
