Well that was.... Expected.
Okay, so, this is the end of chapter III. In the novel this chapter ends a little bit later, but I decided to end it here because it seems like a nice point for ending this chapter; Fernand argued with Shycedes, Edmond came and ruined everything for Fernand, he bursted with anger at Edmond and ran away, the end. Also, this chapter is already pretty long and it took me quite a while to finish it. In the next one there will be a change of the scene that started here and I hope you're ready for some characters from the previous chapter to return....

I want to say I'm shocked, but honestly I'm not surprised that Ferdinand responded in such a petty way. It's really a shame. Him and Edmond probably could have been good friends.

I thought he would just don't do it and run outside like in the book, or maybe shake his hoof with a forced smile...
but a punch right in the stomach....! DANG...! XD
I really can't wait to see the scene in the next chapter when Edmond and Shycédès come close to the table where Fernand, Danglars and Caderousse were talking. If in the book she is quiet and peaceful at that moment, in this comic she will be a volcano of anger, probably will slap her cousin in front of all Poor boy
Anyway, great page as usual I really love the shades you made in the characters' mane expecially the blue in Fernand's

I'm actually all open for suggestions on how to change the story in the future and I actually kinda like the idea of Shycedes slapping Fernand for what he did to Edmond, and Fernand, out of disparity, agrees with Danglars to risk everything and write the letter about Edmond's betrayal that will eventually ruin his life.
We'll see, I might use that idea in the comic, if you're not against it of course.

As you said, this could be an important factor in order to push him into that conspiracy and send that cursed letter Danglars wrote a moment before, attracted by the earth pony’s sweet words and desperate to lose definitively his sister

I love how it turned out. It's so expected that he wouldn't shake hooves but so unexpected with running away. >w< I kept rereading it 'cause I like to and I kept getting drawn to the crooked picture frame in the back. Amazing work, as always.
