Skin Color: As a human, his skin is lightly tanned with scattered freckles, most predominant across his face and shoulders.

Sexual orientation: Eo hasn't really considered a relationship, as he doesn't really think anyone could care about him in that way. But he's accepting of pretty much anyone.

Personality: Eolian is very curious as he was raised by a vet and then by a biologist he learned to ask a lot of questions and to have a wide variety of interests. He's always willing to try something new, or learn something that he doesn't know. He values everyone's opinions, making him very open-minded as well. While he is always willing to accept others and to try new things, he can get very withdrawn if the other person or canine is 'flashy'. Which is pretty much everyone he compares to himself. He has a terrible lack of self-confidence due to his plain coat and his crooked nose. Eoli just can't seem to see himself as attractive, choosing adjectives such as 'lacking' and 'bland' to describe himself. This is why he incorporates color into his wardrobe in an attempt to distract from his own physical appearance. He had a crazy affinity for anything colorful, whether its feathers, clothing, or even food. He pierced his ear on his journey, wearing two of BB's feathers in it. This way he always has a bit of color with him, as well as a reminder of her. He can be a bit naive, as he did grow up with lots of love and everyone being more or less kind to him, he thinks that everyone will just be that nice. This growig up also caused him to be a bit spoiled, and while he now knows how to live on the streets, he refuses to stay dirty, spoiled in the way of loving to be brushed and bathed. He will willingly hop in any body of water to clean himself or just play. He's also spoiled in that he's always had someone there to love him, which role is currently filled by BB, but if something were ever to happen he would not have a clue what to do without someone guiding and loving him.

Personality: BB is extremely protective of her 'child', often puffing up and hissing at anyone who dares come close to him without her approval. She is also very loyal, always remaining by his side even if he screws up. She trusts him and loves him above anyone else, he is her son and she would die for him. Once you get to know her she can be extremely doting, loving to groom others and be groomed, although currently the only people she does this for and allows to groom her in return are Eoli and the Professor, so if you are allowed to groom her or she grooms you that is a great honor. She can be a bit brash when it comes to Eoli and anyone who interacts with him, but is overall very wise. She's experienced a lot in her life and is willing to share her advice with those who can understand her. Currently this is only Eolian.

History: Eolian's life began happily, being born to a pure Carolina Dog mother in a foster home. His mother, Khaki had been brought to a shelter heavily pregnant, and had been immediately taken to a foster home to provide a quiet, loving atmosphere in which she could safely give birth. The family fostering her consisted of a professor who taught veterinary medicine at a nearby university, her husband, and their three children, all animal lovers. When Khaki went into labor, they hovered nearby without being too intrusive, and watched as she delivered her first pup. This was Eo's eldest brother, happily dubbed Francis by the vet. Following Francis came Lilly, a lovely girl named by the father of the human family, who was an avid gardener. Then came Bubba and Tiffany, another boy and girl named by the two eldest children. Finally, Eoli was born, although he was dubbed Cupcake by their youngest daughter. He grew up getting plenty of food and plenty of love, his siblings teaching him how to wrestle and his mother teaching him how to be polite. He adored the humans in his life, often following them about once he could walk. He caught onto housetraining and cratetraining very quickly, and soon was ready to be adopted out to a new home. When he first found out he wasn't staying, he hid under the youngest child's bed for an entire day while everyone panicked over his disappearance. Upon finding him, the little girl reassured him with cookies and making her mommy promise to send him to the "bestest home ever".

The mother of the family, true to her promise to her daughter, gathered up the two-month old puppy and took him and his siblings into work with her. Francis, with his larger size and confident personality, was adopted by her assistant teacher, who had been looking for a protector. The two of them fell in love many years later and are happily married. Lilly went to one of the students there, who had been searching for a sweet pup to keep their parents company. Lilly is still happily there, loving everyone who enters the household. Bubba got taken by a graduate student, and both have since moved overseas to France, where he stays in touch with his mother and siblings while being part of the art and romance scene there. The family ended up keeping Tiffany, not being able to part with the spunky girl, and still love on her and Khaki to this day. Cupcake remained, accompanying the vet to her classroom each day. He was quiet, obedient, and never lost hope that he would find a home. He was nearing four months old when a new biology teacher was accepted at the university, and fell for Cupcake's cute puppy antics and intelligence right away.

Professor Collins was a charming middle-aged man with a passion for birds. He owned several and had been looking for another when he found Cupcake instead. He was immediately charmed by the young pup and after being interviewed by the family, was deemed an acceptable owner, and Cupcake went home with him. The Professor brought him back to his place, a small house filled with many types of birds. Cupcake was terrified of them all, they were noisy and flew around pecking at him, and he hid under the couch where not even food could coax him out. The Professor had to round up all the birds and put them in their cages in order for Cupcake to finally creep out. Gathering the pup up and reassuring him with food and love, the Professor took him around introducing each bird. He then sat down on the very couch the pup had hidden under and proceeded to rename him, something that had to do with birds..."Eolian". For the birds used the wind to fly and soar and so his pup would hopefully now fit in with the flock.

Eolian was about 6 months old when their flock expanded. Professor Collins brought him into class often, and when he didn't, Eoli was kept company by the birds, who had grown to accept him. It was during these long days alone with the flock that he began to understand the words that they spoke, and while unable to speak back in their complicated chirps and whistles, he would listen to them and feel comforted. It was after one of these days at home that the Professor returned with a covered cage and a sad expression. Eoli rushed to him, nuzzling his legs and twining around them, trying to comfort him but also see what was in the cage. The Professor set it down on the kitchen table, out of his reach, explaining that a student had brought him a severely depressed bird, who had lost all her babies. She had begun to pull out her own feathers and was refusing food and the student had asked Professor Collins to help make her better. The Professor tried everything he could for the lovely bird, never letting Eoli near it, but her condition just grew worse.

He left for school one day, leaving Eolian at home with a hug and a pat to the head. That day the weather took a turn for the worse. Eoli had never been alone during a storm before...and everything terrified him. The thunder and lightning drove him into such a craze that he panicked, dashing around the house, knocking into things, careening around corners, yelping and crying out for his mother, for his siblings, for the professor. The birds, usually calm, were thrown into chaos by his noise, flapping about frantically. In his dazed state, Eoli transformed into human form for the first time, crying and searching for comfort. He careened around the corner, skidding right into the heavy kitchen table, knocking the birdcage on it over, the door springing open. He sat there sobbing and wailing, not sure why he wasn't a puppy right now, not sure where everyone was...and then there was a soft cooing and chirping and a little bird, mostly bald, was nuzzling away his tears and calming him.

The Professor returned to find all the inhabitants of the house calm, his puppy still a little toddler curled on his side, finally asleep, with the depressed bird seated in his fuzzy hair, looking fiercely protective. Eoli remained a human the rest of the week, with the bird always on his head or shoulder, hissing whenever another bird came near. She began to eat again, to groom herself, even to interact with the Professor. He reasoned that this must be because the void where her lost chicks had been was now filled with the little Carolina Dog. Thus, he thought it only fit for Eoli to name her. He asked him that evening, and the toddler pointed at her and said in a completely serious voice, "Butterfly." The Professor chuckled, trying to tell him she was a bird, not a butterfly, but Eo remained stubborn, and Butterfly seemed to enjoy the name as well, and so it stuck.

Butterfly (fondly nicknamed BB) stayed beside Eolian through thick and thin, her feathers growing back beautifully. She was an older bird, and mothered him constantly. He learned how to switch more easily between dog and human form, but still preferred his canine form, as he could curl up on the Professor's lap or in his bed more easily. Things were happy in their little family flock, and would have remained that way if not for the budget cuts at the school. The Professor was fired, and without the constant source of income, could not support his birds. Eolian was a year old at this point, and still didn't really understand what was happening as the Professor sadly began to sell and give away members of their flock. Eventually it was just himself, Butterfly, and a few of the older and handicapped birds that Professor Collins couldn't bear to part with. But the day came when the Professor sadly had to turn Eolian over to a family in the town that could take care of him better. He explained the situation to the dog as best he could, and Eoli understood that it wasn't because the professor didn't love him...and they parted on good terms...but the family couldn't handle taking Butterfly as well. Eoli was suddenly without his second mother in a strange place with a busy family who, while large like his first family, were far busier. They left him alone often and without BB he tore about during every storm, at one point slamming into the oven and breaking his nose. It mended crooked, and made him very self-conscious. The family took him on some outings, always pointing out flashier dogs, which only added to his shame at being so 'crooked' and 'plain'. Eventually, he ran away, feeling a little guilty for it, but when he found out that a few days after his disappearance they got a new, 'colorful' canine, he moved on.

He hung around the town a bit, and on one of his outings into town, he found the Professor out buying groceries. He followed him back to a small apartment, where only Butterfly remained. She was back to her depressed ways, but when the pup snuck in behind the Professor, she perked up, singing and fluttering about. Professor Collins was alarmed at first, but when Eoli transformed and explained the situation, saying he'd rather go out and find a family of his choosing, he understood. He gave him BB, some money, and his number in case he needed anything. Eoli left with one of the last two members of his flock, the other member waving behind them, wishing them luck.

Eoli's wanderings took him through many towns and cities, eventually bringing him to Pawsville just in the middle of its turmoil. He and Butterfly weren't sure what to make of what was happening, and he's remained in dog form, with her acting as a lookout and the two of them surviving in the shadows together, waiting to see how everything plays out.

Eolian has run about Pawsville for some time now, making some good friends, most notably two cats: Ace and Len. While Ace may be a negative influence in terms of teaching Eolian how to steal hot dogs (Oliver and Company roles reversed, am I right?), he's Eolian's good friend. And Len, another feline, has earned a spot as Eolian's brother. The dog absolutely refuses to be adopted unless the new owner can also take Len with them. He's met some other dogs and humans, but no one that has been applicable as a partner (yet). He really enjoyed Lee, finding the older man very similar to the Professor.

Recently, Eolian met Tootsie, Avalon, Rooster, and Cory, in a great conflict where Tootsie ended up with a broken leg and all of them were at Avalon's house for quite some time. He bonded with Cory, finding the ginger to be callous at first but having a great soft heart. Thus, Eolian sometimes goes back to the house to see them all. He tries to keep tabs on Tootsie as well, wanting to be sure that the young lady is recovering and finding happiness. After the whole incident, he has begun exploring the outskirts of town, finding out about horses for the first time!

Extra information:
-absolutely ADORES anything colorful, once he finds a place to actually stay you can bet he'll start hoarding colorful things
-knows how to speak to birds and understand their language, he loves to be around the feathered creatures, and often seeks them out when feeling the need for comfort
-he remains close with the Professor, although they'll never be able to be partners he still cares about the man and his first family, keeping in touch with them through the Professor. His mother and siblings also stay in touch with him through this network.
-he still freaks out during thunderstorms, usually transforming uncontrollably from dog to human and back again, to and fro, even with BB calming him
-has extremely poor self-esteem and has never had any experience with relationships
-is still very much a puppy, as he was always treated like one (spoiled baby haha), so acts very much like one, usually in how eager he is to meet anyone and everyone and in how submissive he is to others older than him or that are stronger than him
-is actually very protective of BB as well, although not overprotective like she is
