EVENT LEADER | Kachow [Rogue NPC]
As you are wandering around, whether on patrol or training your apprentice, you see the speediest cat you've ever witnessed go launching through the neutral area around your territory and arc into the air. She latches onto a bird mid-flight and drags it down to earth, killing it swiftly. It is, quite honestly, one of the most spectacular feats that you have seen. Upon noticing you, she zooms right up, careful not to cross into your territory, and beams, "HEYA! I'm KACHOW! The speediest of Hawke's rogues! I've been working at hunting for all the little mouths we have to feed! Think you got what it takes to beat me in a hunting match? Show me your skills!"
Her offer of friendly competition hangs in the air, do you choose to take her up on it? Or do you simply keep walking?
You can participate in this event by doing one or more of the following!:
- Comment below with your cat's reaction to Kachow!
-> This will not earn you an item, but it will allow you to have an interaction with Kachow and possibly enhance your relation with her and the Rogues in general!
- Create a written piece of at least 300 words of your cat showing off their hunting skills and link it below!
-> This will earn you a random item rolled by Kachow!
- Create a drawn piece that is at least a fullcolor fullbody of your cat showing off their hunting skills and link it below!

RULES
If you have questions about events you should comment below or not the group so that all admins can assist you. This event will go on only for the time period specified in its title, after that it will close! You MAY participate in ALL of the ways with as many cats as you want, but drawing two pieces of one of your cat will not earn them double rolls. Only the first of each category for that specific cat will count!
For example:
I CAN do a comment for Mothwhisper, a drabble for Mothwhisper, and a drawing for Mothwhisper and get prizes for all of them!
I CANNOT do a drawing for Mothwhisper and a drawing for Mothwhisper and get prizes for both!

Can't Catch Them AllSilent-throat had decided to take a little stroll through Mossclan territories, having strode a bit away from his patrol. They were only ment to mark borders, but if he went this way, it didn't make much of a difference. It might actually help them get done quicker. Letting out a long yawn, he imagined his nest, and began looking forward till night time. Then he and Shadowchaser could cuddle up in a nest together, and everything would be perfect! Daydreaming slightly about the snuggles they were going to have, he was snapped from his thoughts as a flash of pelt became visible.
Tensing up for a moment, ready to deal wit it if it came for him, he realized it was just another cat, and they were chasing a bird. And it became an excellent catch, making the mute warrior feel honored he had gotten to witness it. Surely this was a skilled hunter! You Can Be My Bird Any DaySolo patrolling the border of Duskclan territory, Falconstrike took this time to relax. Everything had been so hectic this past time, he hardly ever got any moments to relax, but now that was what he was planning on doing. Taking deep breaths filled with fresh air and freedom, he decided to go for a little run. He wasn't particularly fast, but he had a lot of muscles under his thick coat, they should be able to keep him going for a bit at least.
Drumming against the ground, he felt the breeze rush over him, and let out a sigh. It felt good to have this time to himself, now if he only could have a good looking lady on his arm as well, then life would be perfect... A Hop, Skip And A JumpSwanfeather, finally able to spend more time out of camp like she had always preferred, was resting in a patch of sprouting flowers, not a care in the world. It was so nice to have this calm over the clans, a weight had really been lifted! She felt she could breathe so much easier now, and she felt she had regained several years of life.
Dipping in and out of sleep, the mollies blue eyes opened once she heard someone, or something, running around not far away. For a moment, a mild panic hit her, before she reminded herself that everything was ok now. The lands were safe, she had helped seeing an end to everything. I'll Show You What I Got!Dune was hunting in the lands around the gathering place, being careful not to stride to close to any clan border. He knew they could get rather hissy if you got to close, and despite hoping to meet some clan cat he could chat with, he wouldn't risk upsetting any of them. He wanted to bring back a good haul, he needed to show Captain Crunch how good he was at hunting, and was determined to bring back the biggest mouse any of them had ever seen! So far he had a small squirrel and ashrew, enough to feed two cats, so not really that much. He needed to get more, even if it took him the whole day!
Catching the scent of a bird, he suddenly saw the flash of a cat pass by, the flash cat, Clash (Cat flash)? Seeing the form stretch up into the sky and drag down it's prey, the young tom smiled. No, that was Kachow, a mighty fine hunter. "Oh, are we making a competition about it?" he asked, already preparing to head off and find his next victim. She might be one of the best hunters for now,

I'll Catch You The Biggest Fishes!Puddlepaw strolled through the Creekclan land with happy little bounces, her toes feeling the soft new grass that was beginning to grow all around. She was so lucky to not have to worry about dangers wherever she went, papa and the others had made everywhere safe! Now she could go out and pick flowers, splash in the streams and roll in the grass anytime she wanted, and for however long she wanted! And that was just what she was going to do. With a joyous squeal, the little apprentice hopped into the shallows of a river flowing by, giggling like mad as the droplets splashed into the air, and made the land all around her wet. But that didn't matter, she liked the water. Though it made her really heavy, it was still fun!

Squillstripe was walking rather leisurely through the woods - he wasn't actually doing any hunting, he was just out for a stroll. It was a nice day! He sort of wished he gotten someone to come along with him, he was really feeling up for a chat right about now.
Well, actually, he always was, but whatever.
He startled a little as he heard some rustling nearby, and cautiously, he peered around a tree to look on the other side of the border. He usually didn't walk out this far, but he hadn't been too bothered about it 'til now.
Who was that pretty red molly? Was she one of Hawke's rogues? Oh, it seemed she'd noticed him as well. He gave her a broad smile in greeting, and stepped fully into view.
"Oh, hi, I'm Squillstripe. Nice to meet you, Kachow." He purred, waving his tail along the ground. "That's a pretty nice catch, uh... I dunno, I'm more of an opportunist hunter myself. I don't really go looking for trails or anything, I just kinda catch whiffs of them when I'm strolling. You know? I think it's more fun that way. You can like, hold a good conversation and stuff without worrying too much about it."

Birdstrike had been stalking the grassland with his nose to the wind, trying to scent for rabbits, when instead he suddenly caught the familiar scent of a rogue nearby. Trotting down a hill towards the source of the smell, he stopped as he spotted Kachow make a fantastic leap into the air to take a bird out of the sky.
"Holy shit, nice one mate. Fancy meeting you out here." He twitched an ear, his tail sweeping along the ground, and gave an amiable if mischievous smile. "Well, I'd like to think I'm pretty fast as well. You're on."

Firespark had been cutting through the trees, hopping nimbly from branch to branch in search of squirrels, when a red streak of movement from below catches her eye. The fiery tabby instinctively moves faster so that she can keep up with the blur of a cat below. Her paws are quick and sure on the branches that make up her walkway, always able to feel which will support her weight and which will bend.
When the cat surging through the neutral territory suddenly shoots up into the air, moving seamlessly through a pounce so that it appears that at one moment the cat was grounded and the next airborne, Firespark halts in her tracks. She watches with wide eyes as a bird that had erupted into flight in a burst of terror is snared right from the air in mid-flap. As soon as the hunt is over and the prey most definitely dead, Firespark shouts down to what she now recognises to be a rogue.
HOT DAMN. OH SHIT. SHIT ON SHIT. That was fantastic!
Grinning wide and exhilarated, Firespark winds her way down the tree limbs and leaps back onto the earth. She straightens up and cocks her head at the tabby, not recognising them but feeling no need for caution since they dont exactly appear to be out to menace. She keeps to her side of the border though, not wanting to intrude upon the others kill.
Curved ears flicker as the other speaks, a delighted laugh falling from the warriors maw.
Hey! Firespark of Duskclan, nice to meet you Kachow! And I am so all for returning that show you just gave me for free! I was on the hunt for squirrels when I saw your catch.
The fiery molly booms enthusiastically, excited by the prospect of a hunting competition. And shes already gotten a little bit separated from her patrol, what with the charging off after an interesting scent-trail.
Well, if Falconstrike is gonna be mad at her anyway she may as well have some real fun first!

Kachow gave a bright grin, her shoulders rolling as she cocked her head towards Firespark, "WELL WELL WELL! I HAVE HEARD TALES OF YOU FIRESPARK!!!!!" she puffed up her chest, "I see that you are impressed, properly! Therefore, I challenge you to a hunting race!"

Firespark barks out a laugh at Kachows booming voice, thick tail swishing behind her cheerfully. Ah shit, tales? What kind of tales? Why must her reputation always proceed her, she doesnt even know what the reputation is!
Oh well, if it was about how much of a huge idiot she is she gets the feeling Kachow would be way less cheerful. She decides to own it, throwing out a paw in a grand and dramatic gesture.
Good tales, I sure hope! I do love to leave a good story behind me!
The warrior declares before laughing outright, dancing in place in excitement. She nodnodnods her head rapidly to assure of her impressedness, green eyes dancing as she watches the rogue.
It was a super amazing catch, after all!

Clyde said you reminded him a lot of a true rogue!!!" she pauses and looks the other up and down, "All right! Well, this hunting race is about hunting hard and fast. We both target the same piece of prey, and then we have to hunt it in our own way! Whomever gets it first wins, and no foul play!"

Batfang's face instantly lit up at the reaction toward birds. "Fellow bird lover!? I have never met someone so enthusiastic as I am! I would like to be your friend! I don't think I said my name, I am Batfang from Duskclan!!" He was awfully loud, probably not a good thing for the surrounding prey, he soon enough realised that but far too late, hushing his tone and hoping not much was scared off. Looking at the feather she gave him, he gladly accepted the gift, placing the feather next to his robin feather! Special feather!
"Bird lovers unite! I would love to keep hunting with you. Perhaps we can find more birds and feathers~ You must teach me how to get so fast."

ME!? Crazy bitch psycho duo!? She didn't think anyone noticed her as much as they did Chickadee from all those past events... Fair enough! Though when she mentioned that she seemed to have 'settled down' her golden eyes gave off an odd look... Well, she certainly hope she did. "I didn't... I didn't think anyone would notice me...Nor did I think I was as erm, 'well known' as Chickadee..." she looked down at the rabbit bone sheepishly, accepting the token.

Orange eyes lit up as he heard her reaction, happy to see she knew how cool he was! Wait... ALMOST!? No way! She should just be humble! He was cooler! You know what? He'd accept that, he knew how crap it was to be told to sit down! He'd let her pretend he was 'almost' as cool. He nodded, waiting for her to come back. Was she getting a cool medal or something? When he saw her speeding back, dropping a bird skull he looked a little puzzled, his paw messing around with it. "Ey, what kinda bird is this?" He asked, wondering if Grim would be happy with him owning a bird skull... Wait, that was perfect! He could cause utter chaos on the date! Screw those birds!
Hearing her reply to his comment that he could totally swim, he huffed that she could see through his totally foolproof lie, sticking up a chin, "Yeh, well maybe I can't swim... Embarassin' to know when ya come from the clan that's known f' swimmin'." he huffed, hoping she'd keep that information to herself... He doubted he'd see her again anyway.

The enthusiasm of this one was a little overwhelming, especially for a simple hunt but she endured it, knowing it would make her simple mind happy. A bunny? Graceful? No, she would call a swan graceful. A rabbit was an anxious thing just praying it won't die. Looking at the feather Kachow was offering her from her kill, she took a few moments to just stare at her and back at the feather... What? Why was she giving her this? She expected her to just run off now with the prey.
Hesitantly grabbing the feather, she put it in her fur for the time being, stepping back. Well, this turned out differently than what she expected... "Do... Do you want more prey?" She asked, the tone of her voice definitely seeming taken aback.

He just stared back at her, expecting her to just pick up his sad catch and run off. Now he just seemed confused when she lit up, listening to everything she said, his harsh gaze widening slightly. 'The Hawkcry'? Who had been talking about him?! How did she know him? ...And who had been calling him all that, his widened gaze just turned to clear confusion.. Oh, of course it was that Snookums cat. Sighing, he looked at the bird skull he was being offered and under all the fur he went a little rosy. Really? Not refusing the gift, he gladly accepted it and tried to figure out what he could do with it... It seemed so frail but perhaps he could put it in his nest.
Clearing his throat, he went back to his neutral expression and tone, "Perhaps I can help you gather more prey... I'm not sure how I'll find more or if it'll be any better but... I suppose I can try my best."
He paused, his eyes shifting around oddly, "Erm... Before I go off to find more prey, what else has she said to you? Others? I didn't think I was known outside my clan..."

Not so smooth with her question huh? She got caught on the spot! Looking a little flustered that her secret plan definitely wasn't as secret as she thought it was... At least Astrid didn't find out prematurely.
"...Yes. She's my everything. I want to tell her! She's blind so I wanted to show her how much I care by getting her things that she can smell and feel, perhaps even hear. I want her to know she doesn't need her sight to enjoy things. Hah..." She looked down, as red as a tomato, shuffling a paw, "She just really means a lot."
