ITR Hunting Event : May 30-June 6 2018
EVENT LEADER | Kachow [Rogue NPC]
As you are wandering around, whether on patrol or training your apprentice, you see the speediest cat you've ever witnessed go launching through the neutral area around your territory and arc into the air. She latches onto a bird mid-flight and drags it down to earth, killing it swiftly. It is, quite honestly, one of the most spectacular feats that you have seen. Upon noticing you, she zooms right up, careful not to cross into your territory, and beams, "HEYA! I'm KACHOW! The speediest of Hawke's rogues! I've been working at hunting for all the little mouths we have to feed! Think you got what it takes to beat me in a hunting match? Show me your skills!"
Her offer of friendly competition hangs in the air, do you choose to take her up on it? Or do you simply keep walking?
You can participate in this event by doing one or more of the following!:
- Comment below with your cat's reaction to Kachow!
-> This will not earn you an item, but it will allow you to have an interaction with Kachow and possibly enhance your relation with her and the Rogues in general!
- Create a written piece of at least 300 words of your cat showing off their hunting skills and link it below!
-> This will earn you a random item rolled by Kachow!
- Create a drawn piece that is at least a fullcolor fullbody of your cat showing off their hunting skills and link it below!
-> This will earn you a random item rolled by Kachow!

RULES
If you have questions about events you should comment below or not the group so that all admins can assist you. This event will go on only for the time period specified in its title, after that it will close! You MAY participate in ALL of the ways with as many cats as you want, but drawing two pieces of one of your cat will not earn them double rolls. Only the first of each category for that specific cat will count!
For example:
I CAN do a comment for Mothwhisper, a drabble for Mothwhisper, and a drawing for Mothwhisper and get prizes for all of them!
I CANNOT do a drawing for Mothwhisper and a drawing for Mothwhisper and get prizes for both!
ALL WRITTEN PIECES AND DRAWN PIECES SHOULD ALSO BE ABLE TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE GROUP. They should be separate deviations. Only roleplay responses should be commented below. All written and drawn pieces should be LINKED but not written in the comments, ya feel pals?

Owls hunting ( event) - WrittenThe bouncy warrior was strolling ever so casually, a solo-mission with no real purpose. The day was just so nice, and there was nothing to do, so why not take a leasurely stroll? check the borders, gather herbs, whatever took her fancy! Even better, with nobody telling her what to do or how to do it!
Catching sight of a certain batch of herbs, with a gentle dig and a very carefully picking them up into her mouth. With each step her long thick locks bounced, flowing smoothly.
Her eyes locked on a gorgeous red pelt dashing through the outskirts of the border, bright yellow eyes and sun shining on their pelt. Oof, WOW! She sat, dropping the herbs and watching in awe as Kachow efficiently launched into the sky and DESTROYING that bird. WOOW!
Her eyes glistened in amazement, stepping forward towards the border. "H...Hey!" She called out, watching Kachow come closer and waved her tail up in a friendly manor, listening to her speek.

Kachow seems immensely impressed with Owlspirit's catch and expertly skins and guts it, before cracking off one of the rib bones and tossing it to her, "There you go kid! Something to remember this moment by! Whenever you're down, just remember you SLAYED today!"

Minks hunting ( event) - WrittenThe bengal tom trudged through the camps outskirts, his focus solely on the hunt at paw. His gaze focused on the bird, its wings gently fluttering until it noticed him, taking off imidiately, he tried to grab at the leg, which at least kept it at a lower level but eventually he just paused as the bird crossed the border, causing him to huff in annoyance.
But a sudden blurr of orange, a flash so fast he could barely see it, slamming straight into the bird and taking it down. He took a few steps back as he watched, and the cat came forward, their pelt pausing at the border. Minkthorns blue eyes fixed quickly on the cat, recognising the rogue. "Ah yes, Kachow. Nice catch, I was pursuing that one myself but gave up. Too small for me" He smiled softly, his ears perked. His mood had been better recently, with things seeming calm and cats more at ease, his senses were not fully alert all the time, he felt... relaxed. "Oh of course, I'm always up for a little challenge! But yknow, recently bee

Kachow chirps at Minkthorn, "Say, I'll give you the number one member of your fanbase!" she nudges over a dark rock, "You know Googly right? He'll tell you all about caring for pet rocks! This little one can be your biggest supporter!"

Newts Hunting (Event)-WrittenNewtrunner was amazed to see such a fast cat.. So amazing!! The way this feline moved, the red pelt and agility.. It was like Newtrunner was watching his own double hunting. The tom was stunned, thats for sure. But when he watched Kachow race up to him he lifted his chin. "Oh yeh? Nice to meet ya, Kachow! Well I'm Newtrunner of Duskclan, named for my speed! I'm the fastest too!" He wasn't sure of that, but why would he be named for it and nobody else?
"Heck yeah! I bet between us we could catch the whole forest! But still, I'd totally beat you, and with these muscles I could probably catch bigger then you too!" He flexed softly, a light competition in his voice but not trying to intimidate or be too over the top.
Crouching down he looked for something to hunt, alert and aware of both the foreground he looked at and the cat behind him - waiting and watching for his success or failure. It was like being an apprentice again, but at least he was trained.

Burrs hunting (event) - WrittenShe walked calmly through the terratory, just catching a little fresh air before catching some sleep. She wasn't too far out... after all if she were she'd have to wake Dropletpaw to bring him along. She had no intent of much, just to breath, to relax for a moment. It seemed calmer now, without the worries of being kidnapped and tortured.
Though through the distance she saw a figure, blurred with speed, orange in colour. Her bones immidately stiffened, buffing out the three remaining legs she had ready for whatever was coming. Curiously, she moved closer, standing behind a tree and observing half her face in view as the cat jumped high, slamming the bird down.
Her eyes met the others, watching the other come closer and she shuffled back a step. She listened to kachow, her fear calming it seemed upon the introduction and observing the cats features a little closer, ah, of course. She DID recognise this cat.
"Oh sweetheart, you scared me rotten!" She laughed, a smile on her scarred face.

Kachow seems especially impressed at the sight of a cat killing a snake, "I'M GONNA CALL YOU SNAKE-KILLER THE GREAT!!!!!" she immediately bows before Burrbounce, "I'll be sure to frighten, I mean, FEED the kits with this snake!" before she grabs it up, she nudges a feather over towards the molly, "Here you go. Don't forget how badass you are. Even cats who think they can't fly can still believe!"

ITR: Hunting Event - Laureleyes
Laureleyes looked amazed at the rogue catching the bird so swiftly, she was certain she would fly off into the sun with it.
"Woah! How'd you do that? It was flying away too."
She wouldn't say no to a challenge, she liked the company anyway and to help a cat or even an entire faction was worth the effort.
"Alright. I can catch something for you~" The she-cat chirped softly, "If I can ask you something after I bring you back prey. I was actually out to go find something." She mewed, trying to overcome her fear of being alone.
The further she went from Kachow, the more her delicate light paws trembled. The thought that no one was here frightened here even though she knew it wasn't true, something deeply embedded in her head said otherwise.
The quicker she got this done, the better. Glancing around she spotted a vole nearby the flowing water, the noise seemed perfect, a way to mask the noises and potentially her scent.

Kachow smiles at Laureleyes at first, and at her final query her eyes get big. Then she laughs wildly, "OH MAN YOU GOT A CRUSH DON'T YOU!? HECK HOMIE, I don't know much 'bout flowers, but you should find AUGUST! He LOVES flowers but won't admit it!" with her advice passed on, Kachow nudges a smooth object over towards the warrior, "I always like how these feel playing with 'em between my paws, so if you can't find flowers maybe this'll work!"

ITR: Hunting Event - Hawkcry
Hawkcry stared at the rogue cat make a massive leap into the sky for the bird, a faltering neutral expression on his face, and impressed glimmer cracking through. With the offer of catching prey was given as a challenge he definitely knew he wouldn't do any better even if he tried.
"I can't do what I used to do. Even then I was never great a hunting... Bred to be a fighter." He said in a monotone voice, clearly that was true. He was a big bulky cat, any mouse would run away at the sight of him from a mile away.
"Not sure why my clan decides to keep me around. Lost my depth perception... Can't see that great... If you want prey though, I'll try."
The large tom set off, tufted ears like sonars as he went on the prowl. Slightly mismatched golden eyes shimmering as they searched. While he always seemed neutral in terms of emotions, truth be told he was too embarrassed to come back with nothing, to show how weak he was to an outsider - anyone - was pathetic.

Kachow takes a long moment before her whole expression lights up like the night sky on the 4th of July, blinking huge eyes at him, "OH MY GOD YOU ARE THE HAWKCRY! Snookums said you were handsome but like a little ghostie and I TOTALLY SEE THAT!!!!" she lashes her tail and then grins, "Some special guy like you with a special gal like her? I got something to keep you knowing just how special you are!"

ITR: Hunting Event - Rosesong
Rosesong was startled by the sudden movement of what she thought was an owl catching another bird mid flight, only to discover it was actually a rogue cat. Oh wow that's an ugly cat. She wouldn't say anything though she had to be 'nice'.
Hearing what she had to say, at the talk of a challenge, Rosesong laughed awkwardly, "Me? I'm no good at hunting."
She was relatively decent at it, truth be told she just didn't want to. Though after a few moments of thought, she decided it would probably be best if she did, it would make the simple minded cat happy and well... She did use to enjoy hunting, the amazement of seeing the last moments of prey... Odd. Though that still did fascinate her, that old hobby of hers seemed to rub away from her character ever since the encounter with the now disbanded Black Feathers.
Earthy eyes flicked around the grass as her slender pink body elegantly sprung into motion. That was her style, every move of her body was planned

ITR: Hunting Event - Rookfur
Woah! Look at that cat! He was certain they were almost as fast as he was!
"How'd ya do that!?" He called out.
Now with a challenge on his paws his curled ears stood up, pointed towards the sky as his big grin emerged on his face, "I'm a pretty fast cat considerin' I'm frum Creekclan. A could outrun a rabbit... Hey. Reckon we c'n go t' a place with rabbits? I'll prove it."
Leading the rogue to the MossCreek border, he knew dumb rabbits would be around here. Scouting out for the scent of a rabbit, he could smell quite a few but they left the tom frustrated as they all seemed to lead back into the Mossclan territory. Fiery amber eyes kept staring into the distance to see a cottontail or ears perking up.
It was only now he could catch a whiff of a rabbit that was actually on the border, more than thrilled by this discovery, the clan cat moved onward to find the rabbit, hoping Kachow was still within viewing distance.

"THAT WAS BADASS! You're almost as cool as I am!!! Hold on a sec, something that SICK deserves commemorating!" Kachow shrieks, before coming back with a bird skull that she tosses at his paws, "I don't care if you can swim or not, I sure as hell can't! I HATE water! But I LOVE going fast, just like birds. So take that token as a reminder that you and I TOTALLY need to hang out sometime again!"

ITR: Hunting Event - Coppersun
Coppersun saw the challenge as a fun little game which would help the rogues, that's something she could get behind.
"Now I'm with the soldiers they can hunt both on the land and at the ocean for fish. I haven't gotten used to that yet... If only I was raised in Creekclan like my half sister." She laughed, waving a paw to Kachow.
"Well I'm sure you hunt on the land like I'm used to. Not many trees back in Archclan so we never got many birds. Just mice, squirrels, rabbits and the occasional vole." She hummed, "Hm, yes. I'll find us a nice squirrel for the cats back at your camp, yes? And I'll try to see if I'm as fast as you are~"
With that the she-cat prowled off to go find a squirrel. Hopefully she could still remember how to get a squirrel. Squinting into the distance she wondered if that little blob was a squirrel or a mouse at least but it simply turned out to be a dirt mound. ITR: Hunting Event - Batfang
The Duskclanner seemed more than willing to assist Kachow, the prey was starting to come out so it wouldn't be that much of a challenge but watching Kachow make her kill he realised that would be the actual challenge!
“How can you run so fast! I'd just trip over, that's so cool…” He exclaimed, jaw dropped in awe. Looking down to his own bulky paws and bobbed tail. The killing part would be easy for the well built cat but the running… He would struggle to even catch a rabbit!
Tufted ears made several motions as if they were in a violent wind as he went through a flurry of emotions: Excitement, doubt and pondering.
“I don't think I'll be able to beat your speed but I sure can get you some good prey! Gotta make sure the little mouths become big strong mouths!” He grinned, that statement made little to no sense but it was a friendly one.

The toms thick jaw dropped at the sight of the hunting Rogue cat, immidiately bouncing forward to the border to greet them. "Kachow? yes. I won't forget that name in a hurry! I'm Newtrunner!" He looked down to the amazing catch they made, bright eyes looking back up as they continued to talk. "Oh, sure! A little competition is always good fun, plus we have a few small mouths to feed too! Though they aren't really that little now. Plus not as many as the rogues though I hear, but at least I'll be giving my cousins some good food! I accept your challenge, how about first to three? Mice not included because those are EASY to catch." He beamed to Kachow, paws ready to get going on this competition.
