History

Basic clan life--Nothing special.

Rowankit grew up with both of her parents but, unfortunately, they were constantly fighting and bickering whenever they came within a mouse length of each other. Developing a fear and dislike for her parents, Rowankit chose to remain loyal to her mother and despised her father due to his neglective behavior. By time Rowankit was 6 moons old, her father had disappeared and her mother died of food poisoning which left the large kit to develop trust issues and to despise most cats regardless of their clan.

When Rowanpaw finally became an apprentice, she was determined to become stronger and to not let anyone push her around like her father did with Briarlily. Unfortunately, due to this drive, Rowanpaw picked a fight with a much larger and experienced apprentice from Highclan (Flickershell) during a special clan games gathering and was soon taught the hard way that she wasn't trained enough to take on every challenge that she dived into and quickly went in a depressive state. After a few days of shunning herself from her clan and doing her best to avoid any of her duties Dustpaw, another Nightclan apprentice at the time, found her while she was moping inside a dead tree log and snapped her out of her depression and allowed her to get her drive back along with some trust and faith in her clanmates.
A few moons later, a Nightclan queen and former deputy of Nightclan, Voltagedrizzle was found murdered and Rowanpaw quickly accused Highclan for the murder and was ready to attack the mountainous clan and perhaps get revenge on Flickershell for humiliating her a few moons prior. However, even though there were a few other cats that agreed with her on the attack, there was evidence stating that the murderer was a Nightclan cat but Rowanpaw still refused to believe that and continued chanting for war. Duststorm, now a warrior sat down and talked to Rowanpaw a few days later and convinced her that Highclan wasn't responsible for Voltagedrizzle's death. The realization that one or more of her clanmates would actually kill one of their own shocked her and the trust she had obtained through Duststorm quickly dissolved and she began to secretly shun her clan so that she wouldn't get hurt emotionally or physically.

Now finally a warrior, Rowanpaw changed her name to Nettlethorn because she didn't particularly like the name her parents gave her and to remind herself to not let anyone get near her or else they'd suffer injuries from her claws.

Swallowstorm- I get a sour taste in my mouth whenever I think of that name. I've never known such a heartless tom in my life and I'm glad he's gone.

Briarlily- *sigh* I suppose my mother wasn't nearly as bad as my father but I still get a little ruffled whenever I remember her. It was hard for me to be around her because she was always fighting with my father but she did make an effort to take care of me and I guess that's worth thinking of.

Mountainbreeze- He seems okay. Nothing out of the ordinary as far as I'm concerned.

Ivypaw- A wild one this one is... I'm not really sure what to think about her but since she means nothing to me, I suppose that's okay.

Littlebird- My former mentor. I can't say my relationship with her is as close as normal mentor/apprentice relationships are but she's not a bad cat I suppose.

Flickershell- I heard he died a few moons ago. Pfft, oh well. Too bad I didn't get a chance to kick his furry rump after what he did back at that gathering.

Ringshadow- Who's she again? The name sounds somewhat familiar...

Duststorm- Some tom I used to hang out with as an apprentice.

Crowstep- He's so weird and he's disgustingly flirtatious. If I see him and Birdpaw gawking at each other one more time, I'm going to hurl... Blek!
