Description

I made this generator in 2011 and forgot that I hadn't posted it. After fixing it up a bit and adding way more variables, I now deem it ready for the public.

Update (9/13/2018): I revamped the format and added even more variables after getting some suggestions! Please make sure you download the latest version.

How to use:

1. Download the file. It is a zipped file. (The Download button should appear as a green button on the right side of the DeviantArt screen, usually right under the Fave button. Might not work in Mobile.)
2. Open the zipped file. There are four files inside; the generator as HTML documents (three separate files for each of the factions), and the readme as a text document. I urge you to read it all the way through before using the generator.
3. Fave if you like it; link back if you use it! I find generators very useful for character inspiration, and I’m sure many others do too. So don’t be shy; just make a link back to this page and fave it for good measure.
4. If you still have questions, feel free to ask! I also take suggestions for more features; even I cannot think of everything, although I sure do try! But before you make a suggestion, check out the Source Code (easily accessed using the shortcut CTRL+U in Firefox) and make sure I didn't already list it in an array.

Everything else you need to know is in the readme file.

The first paragraph describes the physical appearance and the second describes their personality, intelligence, job, and attitude toward violence as well as weapon of choice (unless they are a Neutral, in which case they will not fight or have a weapon).

Examples of the results this generator creates (from the latest version):

Decepticon:

This youthful male Decepticon has pale red optics and his build is brawny. His tough, worn armor is colored burgundy and storm-grey, and his base metal color is bronze. His insignia is located on his chest. His Cybertronian form is built around a geometric aesthetic with a unique, personally identifiable piece of armor. He transforms into a magnetic axe.

He is old-fashioned and alert, with a mighty constitution. He is a criminal-at-large, believes that fate and luck are in control of everything, and is better at ranged combat but can use melee weapons if needed. He prefers to fight using his concussion guns.

Neutral:

This adult female Neutral has pale green optics and her build is thin. Her simple, impressive armor is colored matte black and flame-orange, and her base metal color is gold. Her Cybertronian form is built around a medieval aesthetic with one prominent scar. She transforms into a construction vehicle.

She is greedy and clever, with a reasonably strong constitution. She isn't naturally talented at anything but learns new skills very quickly and is ambivalent about her job as a librarian.

Autobot:

This very old male Autobot has azure optics and his build is average. His tough, shabby armor is colored dark green and pale grey, and his base metal color is brass. His insignia is located on his left arm. His Cybertronian form is built around a professional aesthetic with three fingers and two thumbs on each hand. He transforms into a Cybertronian base defense vehicle.

He is humorless (as far as anyone can tell) and knowledgeable, with a reasonably strong constitution. He is a member of a local Autobot militia, has excellent dexterity, and is more skilled in avoiding battles rather than engaging in them. When necessary, he prefers to fight using a vibroblade.
