Really good picture. Excellent use of the traditional mediums at hand.
(I thought it was a photograph from a distance.)

Like many others, I thought this was a photograph when I saw the thumbnail. When I found out it was traditional, my jaw dropped. This is simply stunning!

oh my god mother i love this, the edges are very clear without being an outline and the fur is very clear without making the ocelot look too fluffy. this peice is wonderfully balanced and i like the fact that you shaded the background too.

I loved drawing, and I still need to find my way. I discover what was possible to create with colored pencils just yesterday by borowing a book. I think I found my way and that because of people like you who share their work. Thanks its amazing.

I can never figure out how to do such color jobs with colored pencils. Especially with all the different shadings.

heh you change colors a lot, and you cant think of shading/desaturating with blacks greys and whites xD
so if you have blue and wanted it darkened/muted don't use black or a darker blue, since colored pencils are full chroma and that would keep the same value... use an orange or a red to tone it down ^^

Hmm, interesting. Ive fallen more into interest with art again and colored pencils have always seemed to just daunt me at how much time and detail it would take to really make a nice piece of art with it. Along with my low level art skill, its just seemed beyond my grasp.

3 hours is actually pretty quick considering the level of detail you put in. I guess you're right though, perhaps I just need a few more years of practice before I can find my proper form.

Great choice of paper you used. It makes the eyes look Marvelous. Also I like the fact that you used gel pen I would never have thought like that. Great Job!
