Only for those who want to draw realistically...
For those who are drawing Cartoon Style, this tutorial actually doesn't apply...
And there are some animation Illustrations that have those child like drawings as a style, so telling people to "not" draw like that is wrong.

This is a tutorial teaching people to *paint*, not draw cartoon. So in painting, it is not wrong to tell people to pay attention to the right features. ^^

Drawing, painting or sketching, it doesn't matter. All of them generally use the same principles of Visual Arts.
As I said this tutorial is only for those who want to create work to a realistic sense. It is NOT teaching you "How to Paint"
There is a big difference between how to teach people to draw and how to teach people to paint -.- Please learn that.
There are also different art styles and types out there, so telling people no to draw a nose or eye in that sense (view the example) is incorrect. That kind of eye or nose IS also and acceptable way to draw Work, if you are doing Abstract Workings or even in some Cartoon Workings like Foster's Home for Imaginary Kids -.- Β When Pablo Picasso drew work that way, I didn't see any of you complaining -.-
I understand that it's telling people to "pay attention" to certain features, but you guys need to also consider what Art Style you are telling people to pay attention to, which leads back my original point -.-

Just giving you a piece of advice here: you're sounding rude. If that's not what you intend, I suggest you talk to others in a softer tone and stop using the "-.-" emote so much.Β Not only that, but you also contradicted yourself a lot and didn't seem to get what I meant at all.
( Western ) cartoon is a style. Eastern style painting is another thing. She's teaching people mostly to paint the anime/manga style. There was absolutely no need for you to get pissed off about it. She wasn't dictating how one should draw, she was simply giving tips on what one should notice and emphasize when painting anime style. Besides, let's all agree that it looks MUCH better when you know not to draw in the creepy way. Those are seen as unpleasant looking by most even if it is on purpose.
