haha! This is my son, he was at Kent last year, back home in Chicago now, but his girl is still there, and he travels to see her there often. I was really moved by the massacre history when we were there for homecoming 2006. I was into this Beatles themed series at the time, and Revolution was written on the sculpture at the infamous spot. Seemed like a perfect fit. It was an intense emotional state when I painted this one.

it's been intense simply being here, knowing what's happened. I can look out my window and see where the shootings happened. kind of crazy. it's my first year here and I'm kind of wondering what kind of things go on with May 4th coming up.

My son was in Koonce, I think he could see the place too. I know you can see the tri towers in the background in the photos from the day. Creepy. I just kept thinking when he was there last year, that it must have been horrible for those parents, and the victim's friends. His girl is in Leebrick now. (He's talking to her on the phone as I type! LOL!)
They did go to the march last May 4th. Worthy tradition in my opinion. Peace!

I'm in Johnson, right next to the hill where they were shooting from. I found some pictures that actually show my dorm (the original building) with the crowds outside it.
I plan to go to the march this year and I'm really looking forward to it.
