Fire flapped his wings as hard as he could but he could feel them starting to give out. This was the 13th time he was forced to do a double barrel roll. It was only getting harder. He only managed to do one roll in total. One time….

Over and over he failed and fell. If only he could do it the training would be over. Everyday was the same, only days he had off was when his mom was busy.

Failed.

He fell and hit the ground as his wings shook and his breaths became heavy. He heard a stomp and he looked up to see a disappointed mother.
“Again, Really? How many times must I show you!?” Rainbow yelled.

Fire sniffled. “I just can’t!” He yelled back. “My wings are not like yours, I will never be able to do that trick!”

“YES YOU CAN! And you WILL!”
Rainbow lifted her wings in anger and Fire did the same. “Please I just want to go home, I’m tired! We have been training all day and now you want me to do the impossible for a flyer like me!” Tears started to form as Fire Bolt whimpered.
Rainbow dash bashed her hoof on the ground piercing the clouds beneath her. She took a deed breath and sighed. Out of the corner of her eye noticed a news pony flying by. He stopped when he noticed Rainbow, and she watched as he took out a clip board and pencil. He was watching them. But that was nothing new. A star flyer MUST have a star child.

She turned and bent down to Fires ear, “Get up and fly, do the tricks you can actually do. And do them well.”
Fire noticed his moms eyes glance back to the news pony.

Rainbow Dash stood up tall and huffed, “DON‘T disappoint me.”
Fire gulped as he heard a flash of a camera, the newspony was watching.
“Yes Mother...” Fire whispered as he slowly lifted his tired wings and went into formation.
