Description
there are few things for which i consider myself a nerd, this is one of them.i'd always wanted to paint this scene, so the other morning i did it quickly without ref to give it my own thing, about 2 hours.

I remember my reaction to those statues as a young boy the first time I saw The Neverending Story. At first, it's like "hey, those statues are making me feel strange feelings I've never felt before... is this puberty?" And then it's like "holy crap don't get eye-lasered to death!"

YAY!!!!!! I'm a huge Neverending stoy Nerd....this is rad as usual Bakanekonei (baka? Nei?) A funny (at least to me) story ...My wife and I tossed around the idea of naming our son Atreyu. This was before the band was popular so I hadn't heard of them and my wife and I, like I said LOVE the movie. The problem we ran into was that as cliche as it seems to be now, my favorite book has and always will be "The Catcher In The Rye" so we knew our sons first or middle name would definitely be (and is) Holden. Luckily as the due date got very close someone asked what we'd be naming him and I for the first time said out loud Atreyu Holden....and it was then I realized how horrible it would be to be a little kid just starting school with the name " A tray you holding" ....

That's the best scene in the film! Those big-boobied statues used to scare the crap out of me. Even more than the big bad wolf with the red eyes.

yea the movie was ok buttt after actually reading the book it kinda kills the movie a bit the book was so much better and it explains several things that were kinda iffy in the movie (not that as little kids we minded at the time)
