Btw this was what I was thinking about when I was making this adopt
It ended up being a bit more galaxy/ starry night theme than I wanted since it was time theme asdklmsdf

The Sandman

Everyone in the world has an hourglass. It fills as the person sleeps, and empties once the person is well rested.
But every once in a while, someone's hourglass has a crack and leaks sand, suffering under insomnia.
Or the hourglass fills too much to the brim, weak to narcolepsy.

It's the Sandman's job to make sure everyone's hourglass is working properly.
When it leaks, he offers his sand and stays until the hole fills up. When it takes too much, he scoops the sand until it leaks from every pocket.

It's a lot of work, leaving him constantly tired. But seeing everyone well rested and happy after a good night's rest makes his job worth all its trouble.
