Ha ha..
Well the picture certainly looks like an Amur.. but if it is a bengal then its a mighty royal one...
Its a pity you guys have to see them at zoo's
In India although we have zoo's we prefer waiting for 3 days at a sanctuary to spot one.. we track them throught their poo and listen intently for the call of monkeys and peacocks and sambar deer to find out the location of this big cat... Its quite excuisite to see on in the wild. Any big cat for that matter...
If you pop in here sometime make sure you visit either Jim Corbett, Ranthambore or Kanha.. .these sanctuaries are well known for Tigers... The Asiatic Lions are confined to just one place Gir sanctuary in Gujarat. Given your admiration for them... im sure youd like to spot one for yourself.. its a memory worth having...
Have a nice day

I'm liking the tiger there, really shows a lot of expression. You captured it well I think, and this just proves there's decent zoos/wildlife parks here in the UK.
Awesome work on this.

It's a shame there's that fence blur over the photo, I get that at Adelaide zoo with the lion exhibit. It sucks, but sometimes you can manage to make it so it's not noticeable. Nice capture otherwise.

Yeah it was a shame, but i guess that comes with shooting through fence lines. It'd be a perfect world if there were no fences or glass walls

Yes, the tigers would think it was a perfect world as they'd be able to eat us up easier
