Sometimes that Emu looks right into ya. Right into your eyes. And the thing about an Emu is he's got lifeless eyes. Orange eyes. Like an anime doll's eyes. When he comes at ya, he doesn't even seem to be livin'... until he bites ya, and those eyes roll over white and then... ah then you hear that terrible high-pitched screamin'. The zoo turns red, and despite all the poundin' and the hollerin' those Emu come in and... they rip you to pieces.

And I can believe your situation. I was nipped by an free ranging ostrich once. It kept trying to eat the belt loops on my sweater. Silly giant birds!

I am always afraid to take photos of birds from close distance, it would be very easy for one like that to break the lense, I supose !
