A Lore Olympus fanart of what I think will happen in season 2 part 2.

Persephone is banished and has to do her mother's work until Zeus is "satisfied" and has to turn Minthe back. However, people will think this punishment is to cruel as the mortals broke the treaty with Demeter and Zeus pardoned Apollo and Artemis for a act of wrath that was for petty reasons, and this will start the rebellion against him as the trial showed just how corrupt he is, and there is no way Hades will let Zeus get away with what he's done as he warned him on the phone, so I suspect for Hade retaliation he will cut off his supplies to Olympus and severe ties with Olympus till Zeus gets desperate, as Olympus is the way it is thanks to Hades wealth and resources.

This, however, gives Persephone the opportunity to explore her powers without Demeter interfering, and Persephone suspects that her trial and punishment has to do with the fact that she could be a fertility goddess as she asked her mother if she is one before the trial. Persephone will start to test her theory with experimenting with new flowers and make her wild spring again before Demeter reprimanded her for doing before. And with Eros stating that the population needs to increase, Persephone could end up helping many women get pregnant, the first one by accident, but with that happening it will confirm she is a fertility goddess as they've helped women trying to conceive a child, and when it gets to Olympus that Persephone is doing an excellent job at her work, when they learn she's helped the mortal have children they will realize she's more powerful than they realize and will see she's more powerful than they expected.

Including Zeus, which will make him panic as she grows more powerful and people will realize she is a fertility goddess, and with her helping the mortals everyone will see that what Zeus said about Persephone was untrue. Zeus knows when people find out about Persephone's status, it's game over for him especially when he abused his authority on Demeter and Persephone, so he might start to sabotage Persephone's work to make sure that she's distracted (like Demeter did with her) and have an excuse to keep her under punishment, and thinking she would just accept it.

Only to find out that Persephone is no longer going to take his shit. When he tries to destroy her crops like he did with Demeter, he ends up hurting a few mortals and nymphs, something that made Persephone snap. She will grow into titan size and seize Zeus with her hands, making him horrified as he looks into her enraged eyes as she starts to lecture him.

Zeus froze in fear as the now titan sized, and infuriated, Persephone held him in her grasp. Her blood red eyes glared angrily at him as she tried to stop herself from crushing the king of the gods in her hand.

"HOW DARE YOU ATTACK MY HOME!" Persephone roared, "YOU COULD HAVE HARMED THE MORTALS OR MY NYMPHS WITH THAT LIGHTENING BOLT! AND YOU BURNT THE CROPS! HOW ARE THEY SUPPOSE TO EAT!?"

"I-I'm sorry!" Zeus trembled, "of course, it-it could have been better, so maybe the burnt crops can be a fresh start to make better ones!"

That excuse made Persephone tighten her grip, nearly crushing Zeus.

"BULLSHIT! YOU DID THAT ON PURPOSE BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T LIKE THAT I STOOD UP TO YOU! YOU DID THE SAME THING TO MY MOTHER WHEN SHE REFUSED TO HIDE YOUR MISTRESS THAT ONE TIME!"

Zeus then starts to try and calm her down, "H-hey, take it easy I'm sorry, you can grow new ones can you!?"

"THAT'S NOT THE POINT!" Snapped Persephone, "I HAVE BEEN WORKING TIRESLY WITH SPRING AND THE VEGETATION IN THE MORTAL REALM TO MAKE UP FOR WHAT I'VE DONE LIKE YOU SAID I WAS SUPPOSED TO! I WAS WILLING TO ACCEPT THE PUNISHMENT FOR WHAT I DID AND MAKE UP FOR IT! BUT EVERYTHING I DID SO FAR, YOU SAID IT WASN'T GOOD ENOUGH, EVEN WHEN I'VE CHANGED MINTHE AND EVEN DAPHNE BACK! AND THEN YOU GO AROUND DESTROYING WHAT I'VE MADE TO HELP THE MORTALS AND TELLING ME TO START ALL FUCKING OVER AGAIN! I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS NONESENSE! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS ZEUS!? WHY ARE YOU DESTROYING EVERYTHING I'VE MADE!? I'M TRYING TO FIX EVERYTHING SO I CAN BE WITH MY MOM AND HADES AGAIN!"

Zeus couldn't saying as he saw the hurt in Persephone's eyes, along with the shock of hearing that she wants to be with Hades, his outcast brother and the lonely king of the Underworld. Seeing her like this has not only confirmed to the King of the Gods that she's not only a fertility goddess, he has also seen that the punishment he's given her was a terrible mistake.

Zeus knew that he has to come clean.

"....I was wrong...."

Persephone blinked.

Zeus looked up, while still in fear, he also a look of guilt on her face. The proud King of the Gods looked helpless to the gigantic pink goddess.

"I was wrong okay! You and Demeter didn't deserve this punishment! You had every right to do what you did that day, while you didn't have a permit, the mortals broke a treaty and your nymphs were killed because of them, and they treated you like trash when you told them to stop! Your act of wrath was justified, and it's not like you purposely destroyed the village but you wouldn't be wrong for doing it! Compared to the other gods and goddesses, including me, your act of wrath was righteous and if I was in your position I've would have done worse!"

"Had your mother allowed you to make that report after the incident, I would have just given you a slap on the wrist for doing it without a permit and even a medal for showing the mortals that the gods are not to be trifled with, I would even give you a permit for future acts of wraths!"

Persephone couldn't believe what she was hearing. When Zeus sentenced her she was told it was because of her act of wrath, but to hear the god who banished her tell her she was in the right the whole time made her feel a reign of emotions. One was of anger because why did he punish her if he knew she was justified, another part felt guilt for the lives that were lost despite what they've done.

"Then why?" Persephone spoke, nearly chocking, "Why did you do all of this in the first place!? Why did you go after me and my mother and had this whole trial, painted us as monsters, stripped her of her godhood and banished us, why did you take my mother from me.....and why....why did you take me away from Hades? And why are you sabotaging my work when you told me if I did it to your expectations the punishment for me and my mother can be lifted!? What is going on Zeus! Tell me!"

Persephone began to shake, alarming Zeus.

"I'm tired of people not being honest with me! I'm done with the secrets and being left in the dark...please....." Tears started to roll down Persephone's face, "I just want to see my mother again.....and I want to go back to the Underworld.....I want to be with Hades!"

Zeus was stunned in silence, his face wilt with guilt and seeing the pain he's caused her. He swallowed and looked up.

"I did it because I was scared, scared that people were losing their respect for me as King! I used you and your mother as an excuse to make an example to everyone on Olympus so I can be taken seriously like I did with Prometheus back then.....but boy has this backfired on me badly!"

Persephone blinked, "What are you talking about?"

"After you and Demeter were banished, the other gods, including Hera, they've turned against me. Hera left me and took Hebe with her, and the other gods refuse to do any work in Olympus, there are even protests in Olympus demanding that I free you and your mother from the punishment saying it was unfair and that you were justified. A lot of people like you more than I've imagined, and when they learnt of your abilities on earth and how you've helped the mortal women conceive children, they speculated that you're more powerful than the other gods and goddesses and are starting to realize that what was said about you in court wasn't true.......and I realize that what I did could be the final nail in my coffin."

Zeus felt the grip tighten around him again as Persephone looked at him angrily again.

"You mean to tell me that the reason you went after me and my mother was because you wanted an ego boost!? I was willing to take responsibility for what I did, but the fact that you gave me and my mother, who is in a worse position than I am in the moment, this punishment just to make yourself big to everyone because you're insecure with yourself is absolute shit! As king you should NEVER abuse your authority, even if someone disrespects you or talks about you behind your back! If you wanted to be seen as a king to be respected, you should have been kind to your subjects and not treat them as toys! You should have showed them respect in the way you wanted to be respected! Respect is not something you demand, it's something that's earned! Especially when you're a king! How can your subjects respect you if you do nothing but terrorize them and bully them to get what you want!?"

Persephone points at the bottom, where Zeus saw a few mortals and nymphs who barely escaped his bolts.

"Look at them, Zeus! When you commit your acts of wrath to do whatever you want without caring about the consequences, they're the ones who pay the price! Meanwhile you let Gods like Apollo get away with slaughtering innocent children just because the mother of those children gloated about being better than Leto, when they could have just cursed her with a bad hair day instead! And you burnt my mothers crop fields because she refused to help you cheat on Hera, who has suffered for years because of your infidelities and got the nickname "Golden traitor" because you had her seduce Cronus as part of your plan to take him down, only for you to end up cheating on her and fathering multiple children from many women! I can't begin to imagine how upset she was when Apollo announced that he and Artemis were your children at the trial!"

Zeus felt a tinge of pain from the comment about Hera and his infidelities. Remembering the fight he and Hera had after the trial when he sentenced Demeter and Persephone, Hera screaming at him that what he did was barbaric and that learning that he fathered Apollo and Artemis with Leto, her former best friend, was the final straw for the queen of the Gods. He saw her leave with Hebe in tow and everyone was against him.

Including Hades, the one who he's hurt the most and has since cut all ties to Olympus and has refused to talk to him.

Persephone continued, "The more that you disregard other people for your own needs above theirs and not listen to them, the more they won't trust you! How long will it take to get it through your head!?"

Zeus looked down and saw the mortals and nymphs, some were afraid, some were glaring at Zeus. They looked at him in disgust, the one thing he was afraid of as he started to see the faces of Hera, Hades, Posidean, Hestia and Demeter looking at him the exact same way. As he turned to look at Persephone, large and angry, he thought for a second that she was his mother, Rhea.

"....You're right.....I failed miserably at what I've done...I've failed as a king, as a God, as a friend, as a husband, and most certainly I've failed as a brother.....I've hurt everyone around me because I wanted to be seen as an authority figure, but instead I've made an ass of myself and embarrassed Olympus with my actions, and I've hurt my queen after the sacrifices she's made for me, and even worse I've hurt my older brother by taking you away from him."

Persephone was stunned at what she's hearing.

Zeus continued, "And I failed you by sending you away when I should of spoke to you instead of broadcasting the warrants for arrest for you and Demeter, I was afraid....I was a coward."

"Afraid of what!?" Persephone exclaimed, "What else were you so afraid of that you separated me and my mom besides your massive ego!?"

".......That you're a fertility goddess."
