Yes metallic gold around the sun and then copper metallic paint dry brushed over the whole painting. There are also gold leaves on the tree. the leaves are visible depending on the lighting and what angle you are looking at it. It was a fun one to do.

You should try it I like to use special effects glaze by mcCoskey. You can find it in most paint departments in with the faux finish goodies. The nice thing about it is it has a ton of extenders in it. It takes forever to dry giving it a large window to wipe off. That and you don't have to deal with the toxic powder when making metallic paint.

Thanks for the info. I can see myself taking a poke around the art store in the next couple of weeks. However, I'm facing that with a subtle dread... I never walk in there without bringing home either an empty purse, or an uncontrollable yearning for things I can't afford. Or both.
