Description
Now, in my time as being a part of the GTS community, I’ve started to notice a few archetypes for giantesses. Now, because macrophilia is a fetish, storytelling isn’t necessarily the focus of genre and because of that originality isn’t too important. As long as the character has a background that fits, then it works. Sometimes they don’t even need that: they just need to be a giant girl, or perhaps a normal sized girl in acquaintance with smaller people. But one kind of giantess I do see often is the goddess.
The goddess character is fairly simple to understand and therefore a good, easy choice for a giantess character’s backstory. Goddesses, as a term, refer to female deities. Deities are pretty powerful, and we generally assume that among their many powers, which include teleporting and raining down lightning, is size changing. Even the most menial goddess with power over a super specific item, like a wood nymph, can size change. This supplements the first concept in giantess story telling: how did that girl get so big? Well, she grew to that size because she wanted to and she can do whatever she pleases because she’s a freaking goddess. Now bow down. It’s as easy as that.
The next question to ask is: “well, if she can freely change her size, why would she do that?” This is also easy to answer: goddesses do what they please because they can. Especially malicious ones. If they wanted to destroy an entire human settlement, they could easily. But they might not decide to grow 100 feet tall and prance through it like a meadow of flowers. There are plenty of ways a deity can destroy an entire human city: a quick and easy way would be to call down a meteor and flatten the place in no time at all. Summoning a volcano also works. Even spawning another monster to do the destroying for her is far less dirty work for a goddess.
So it relies on the personality of the girl. Perhaps she just enjoys dominating mortals and the feeling of flattening weak human structures beneath her bare feet makes her feel all warm inside. Or maybe a city of mortals defies her power and it pisses her off so much that she wants to not only destroy them, but humiliate them as well. To grow to an impossible size and play with the city like a child and a set of building blocks. That would crush most people’s egos: especially generals. Imagine being the general of a mighty army that can take over entire nations, and then this pretty, 20-something year old girl in a white dress just comes down from the heavens and stomps the army into the ground while giggling. That’s gotta suck.
Of course, not every goddess is so malicious. Some are gentle and care for their worshippers, only exhibiting their size as a means to protect them or perhaps just be playful. A kind goddess can simply spawn a city without people and destroy it instead of the settlements of actual people. Same thing but less violent. Take Christina from for example: She is a neko goddess, which means she is the deity of all cat eared girls. But that doesn’t limit her powers: it’s mostly a title and an honor. She can grow and shrink, and she’s very playful, but she doesn’t enjoy ruthlessly killing people just for the fun of it. It’s also important to note that a goddess that destroys more than she creates loses followers more. So you won’t find any shrines made out to destructive goddesses, unless you believe in Hindu. Of course, Sheba destroys so that other things can be created, right?
Besides macrophilia, goddesses are just good in fetishes in general. Mostly because they are always beautiful. Have you ever seen an ugly goddess? The only time a goddess isn’t super sexy is when they are an animal deity and take the form of an animal. Even then, they’re beautiful in a majestic way. And in a super sexy way if you’re in to that kind of thing. But in a lot of instances in macrophilia literature, a woman who is beautiful and just so happens to be able to change size is probably also a goddess. Not in every case, but it’s a good excuse.
So when an outsider to the GTS community looks in through the glass and wonders why we have so many goddesses in our stories, the answer is quite clear: they are the perfect candidates for a good story focused on the principle of size changing. So if you happen to be a macrophiliac, and you have a character who is a goddess, then you’re probably doing it right. If you are a part of the GTS community and you just so happen to BE a goddess, then just keep doing what you’re doing. You’re doing great.

So is this a new series you are doing about profiles? I've been mentioned and wondered why. So I came here and read your description. I love every word of it.

I might start doing some profiles. I've noticed a few common kinds of giantesses: goddesses, aliens, test subjects, stuff like that. I'll consider it. Though I'm not sure if my artistic prowess is fine enough. Should I bother doing a rendering for the preview image? Does it work?

I like the concept of it. I definitely think you should provide more insight of all kinds of macrophilia personalities. It's interesting enough in its own right. The read was also quite enjoyable. Keep at it!

Great to hear! I appreciate your support.
I'll consider doing more: drawing is tough though: and it takes a while. Mostly on the buildings though: I put a lot of energy into making buildings like accurate. At least in the foreground.
Anyway, thanks!

Don't worry too much about it. Just keep something simple if need be. The literature part is your strong point anyway, right? Or do you just feel like having the drawing be equal to what you're writing about.

Well, the drawing is what lures people in to read the description. At least I think it is. The big reason why I incorporated an art piece with the literature was because I finally reached that level where my drawings are quote unquote "acceptable." But yeah, literature is still my more developed skill. Though I'm always improving in both aspects.

Hmmm well I say yes. It does work. But gets me curious on who that giantess is.

Nobody in particular. Just a random goddess, really.
I considered doing an active goddess from the community, but I figured not to.
Anyway, what clubs should I feature this in? I'm not familiar with publishing GTS pieces like this, and I'm not sure what clubs support what skill levels of drawing.

Well I'm sure you'll figure it out. But if I were to say. Anything gts group like my group that I'm in or some goddess group. Either way it'll be great.

Probably not a goddess group: This one is tailored more towards GTS who happens to employ the theme of goddess. But thanks for the suggestions.

Your welcome she looks cute still. If you could what would you name her?

A name? Probably Venus: that's typically a common goddess name.
But like I said, just a generic mascot for the genre.
Anyway, what would you call her?

Not a bad call. Though that's like the greek version of what I'd call her.
I like the Roman version better though because it's shorter and has a bit of an acid taste to it. I dunno if you know what I'm talking about.
But yeah, I'll work on another one if you think I should. I've got a couple more ideas.

Probably every general-level gts group. Since it has a picture, it's not like it doesn't belong there. A lot of size-related literature get accepted in quite a lot of groups anyway.

Well, I ask because I'm not sure if there's like a skill-wise hierarchy in the GTS community. Like, I know I'm definitely not as good as someone like Karbo, but I'm more around the level of JoetheVenezulan. Atleast with some of his earlier works, he's probably a lot better now. So I wasn't sure if certain artists submitted to one club and everybody else had enough. Like I said, I'm new to posting this kind of content. But I guess I'll just submit to the GTS groups regardless. The worse they can do is reject my work anyway.

It honestly depends like the regular Giantess-group group will most likely accept it. However, groups like omnigiantess and soft-and-destructive won't accept them 'cause it doesn't follow submission rules.
Y'know obvious stuff like that. There aren't really any skill-related guidelines in most gts groups as far as I know. In fact, I've seen some really subpar drawings submitted in some groups. So don't worry about it like you said, if they reject it, then try again or worry not about it.

I didn't know that the submission rules in SAD was so destructive.
I also didn't know that the abbreviation of soft and destructive was sad. that's unfortunate.
But I'll see what I can do. Thanks for your help.

Anyway, np. Keep on drawing and writing!
