Description A design wholly inspired by Susanna Clarke's spellbinding novel "Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell".
(For the uninitiated, it's like Harry Potter for the educated, with a far greater Sense & Sensibility of English Magic...)

Available as a t-shirt/mug/card/mousemat - see my journal for the links.

That's very pretty. It could easily have been cover art for the book.

thanks, same simple black & white approach - a style that seems a perfect fit for her writing... credit goes to whoever designed the original book jacket I guess!

I *love* this. I'm reading the novel for the 2nd time, and I just read the chapter which bears the same title tonight (I absolutely love that phrase).

Thanks, and for the Fave.
It's a perfect phrase, isn't it? As is her vision of what historical English magic might've been like. It's a rare combination of authenticity & originality, and surprising to find in this age of formulaic consumerism!
